Hometurf Lawn Care Service

Excellent lawn care company that takes great care of its customers. I've been a customer now for over 10 years. Service department is very attentive to any issues if any (Only called twice since using them) Highly recommend this service

Hometurf is the 3rd lawncare service that we've used and is by far the best in terms of both service and results. Despite the fact that environmental laws have limited the type of lawncare chemicals used over the past few years (and rightly so), Hometurf is still able to provide a service that has improved our lawn's overall health and managed to control most weeds. We get many complements on how attractive our lawn appears.

Hometurf is a family owned and operated company. Customer service is amazing - very friendly. They communicate well and give you a heads up of when they will show up. They offer a great early bird special with a bonus treatment. I highly recommend Hometurf!

We are seniors so it is helpful for weeding, seeding and fertilizing so we don't need to carry heavy bags. The results show in the look of the lawn because it looks good and healthy.

We have this service for few years already. Have no problem with the service or communication. Like a notice on e-mail prior the visit. Service was slightly effected by Covid-19 but this is understandable.

My experience with Hometurf was effortless. They are kind, curtious and very professional. I only needed a treatment for chinch bugs and once that was completed the lawn service technician seeded my entire lawn ! at no charge. That was about four weeks ago and I am very happy too report that my lawn is fully grown back. It has never looked as good as it does today thanks to Hometurf. I will be using thier lawn service next season, Thank you again too all the people at Hometurf !

Have used Barrie Hometurf Lawn Care Services for several years. Very reliable and have had very good overall results. Came back and did a free respray on the weeds. Lawn is ready for winter.

I like what the company offers overall. It seems with COVID the past year there’s been a few concerns with overall service. Good quality overall for the price. Would recommend this company.

I have been a Hometurf customer for several years. They are friendly and provide great service too! I get a call before each service and have a paper report (together with lawncare tips) after. They answer my queries and address any concerns promptly. I have not experienced any pressure tactics all these years. My lawn has been complimented for looking green and lush. I do not regret engaging their service at all and will continue to entrust my lawn with them in the years to come. Keep up the great job Hometurf!

Damaged Lawn.....

The 1 star is being generous! I wish we could say more positive about this company who prides themselves in being in business for 34 years, unfortunately they have not learnt much in the way of customer service or satisfaction in that time!

When we started with this company in early spring of this year 2020, we actually were only interested in specific services, but they convinced my husband that their program would get us those services and more. We did get more unfortunately, we started with a fantastic lawn and now the majority of it is dead and burned from over fertizling. Their weed program is also misleading, it is a spot program so if you see weeds call them but it takes almost 2 weeks for them to come out, by that time there are so many weeds or you have do it yourself....

Staff that came to the property were mostly inexperienced, running around aimlessly across the lawn and in one case spraying randomly on the driveway but had open flip flops - no safety shoes or PPE.

We gave them many opportunities to correct the issues but once again they failed to improve at all. I found dealing with the office staff was hard, they have a lot of attitude and the moment you aren't happy that attitude comes out! I was told this morning when speaking to Desiree Burns that I couldn't speak with a manager higher than her because she is that person, the Customer Service Manager!

I have read a lot of the reviews for HomeTurf over the last couple of days and they all say the same thing they ruin your lawn!! The other thing I have noted is that with every complaint they do respond, but it's the exact same message literally word for word.

The only thing I can recommend about this company is to run, not walk, from them!! Hometurf please don't worry about responding to this non-recommedation, your scripted response is a waste of your time!

UPDATE: We are now in dispute with HomeTurf because we are refusing to pay for this damage and instead we are going to be putting the funds toward getting this corrected.
