We recently purchased a home with very little insulation. I got three quotes and Insta-Insulation was not the cheapest. However they were very professional, the salesman was able to articulate what was needed and provided me with three alternatives. He advised me to get the electrical boxes checked out and have an exhaust bathroom vent repaired.
The Job took three days,
Day one - Consisted of vacuuming the old insulation out. I was disappointed that not all material was removed as well as my air conditioner unit being slightly damaged, - the waste pipe got disconnected resulting in a minor flood. I had an independent person come and fix the air conditioner and remove old materials in the attic.
Day two – The vapour barrier was put in place and set for 24 hours, which required moving out of the house. On inspection this job was done well.
Day three – The insulation was blown in. On inspection the job was done well.
Positives:
All team members had good attitude
The insulation is doing the job and the house temperature is stable.
Negatives:
Attention to detail was lacking on the first day, mess left in the ceiling after the first day and damages to the air conditioner unit.
I would recommend this Insta-insulation as I am very happy with the result.
