Spray Foam/Cellulous Installation
I contacted Instal-Insulation in the spring of 2011 to add more R value to my attic and to fully insulate my office space that was an addition that had no insullation at all. They had to come at 2 separate times as two different trucks are used for the insulation. They came not only on time but a few minutes early just to so they could prepare. Bruce was the guy who gave me the quote and explained the process to me initially. I had also seen their work on Mike Holme's shows and felt comfortable using them. The guys were all courteous, they cleaned up after themselves and answered any questions I had. They increased the R value for the attic from a R12 to R50 and for the spray foam they did it to the full 3 inch thickness i required to qualify for the energy grant. I would have thought that because they are sucha big name company and always featured on Mike Holmes that their prices would be astronomical. But I found them to be very reasonable. I have definitely noticed a difference in my home thanks to Bruce and his guys.

- If you have an older home and aren't sure what type of insualtion you currently have(some of the old vermiculite can have asbestos), get it tested. It will save you a lot of hassle in the long run and you will be provided with a certificate that you can show potential home buyers and contractors who come to do work in your home.
