Update April 7, 2012 - Spoke to Rick within 24 hours of the review. There seemed to have been some mis-communication and I feel through the crack. He came by the house with Max and apologized for the situation. Max, unbeknownst to me, actually is Rick's crew chief and has been for the last 10 years! They identified the problem areas, assessed it, and took it apart immediately. A couple of days later, they got the new flooring and installed it. He didn't ask for any money, and he mentioned that his objective was to keep his customers happy, as he was looking at the bigger picture of his reputation and longevity of his business. I was impressed and glad to hear these words and that is why I have amended my rating.
As a customer, I understand that people and companies will make mistakes. The manner in which they acknowledge and resolve these issues is what makes the great companies stand out from the rest. It is this trait that makes me believe that Rick and his team will be able to continue down this path with great success.
March 30, 2012 -Used Rick's company - he outsourced it to Max. After 2 months of the floor being installed, it started separating. Called Rick - took forever for him to show up. He came by and said it was weird ! Said he would contact Max and get back to me - that was beginning Feb 2012 - haven't heard from him since !
