When we bought our house, the one thing that we really hated was our kitchen. After hiring Revi to renovate the kitchen, it’s now our favourite room in the house!

Revi worked her magic on our old 1980’s style kitchen that was cramped to the point where only one person at a time could really work in it, and turned it into an elegant, modern, functional kitchen in which several people can cook and bake at the same time (and even eat, courtesy of a built-in banquette and some gorgeous custom furniture)! This was accomplished using the same footprint; no structural changes were made. She took all of our dislikes, made sure they never came back, and then checked off every item on our wish list. During the initial consult, she asked our daughter, who is an avid baker, if she’d like a dedicated baking centre. Of course the answer to this was yes. Our daughter now has an area all her own which accommodates her equipment and supplies, and lets her bake to her heart’s content.

Revi worked within our budget and helped us prioritize what was worth spending on, and what was worth saving on. While the kitchen is very functional, she ensured we had some catchy ‘fun’ elements that add a lot of personality to the space. Her suppliers and trades were also excellent. Big shout out to Don the electrician (one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet), and the Oakridge kitchen team (artisans in their own right). We certainly got our money’s worth and beyond with high quality materials, and truly professional workmanship and installation.
Steven, the foreman (also Revi’s husband), was amazing and very considerate as well. I had casually mentioned to Steven one day that my son and I both had asthma like symptoms. He took it upon himself to come back at the end of each day to clean up to make sure there was no dust to be found. Usually this type of reno creates a massive mess, but it ended up being surprisingly clean. Steven’s attention to detail ensured a quality job was done and no corners cut or missed. He gladly went above and beyond, even contacting the city to ask them to come out to fix our gas meter for us (a problem with the supply side, not the house side) and oversaw their repair! He also oversaw delivery of a couple of extra appliances that had nothing to do with our kitchen.

The Monaco Interiors team made what is normally a very stressful project, an easy one. The end result is stunning. Revi’s design vision was executed perfectly and it shows beautifully. Everyone who has come over and seen the new kitchen has given us great compliments on it. Ultimately, the compliments we have received we now pass on and attribute to Revi, Steven and everyone they pulled into our project. Thank you for an incredible job!
