I have bought lights for my home many times and overall have been very satisfied. Once had a very grumpy salesperson, and a second time bought back a halogen bulb that did not fit the fixture and had a bad time getting the correct one. I know this is the way with business when there are multiple sales people, but it was upsetting.
Good overall selection. Could do with more contemporary inventory.
Allison Johns helped us chose all of the lighting fixtures for our new house. Norburn has a very good selection at all different price points. She helped coordinate all of the fixtures. Allison was very organized and kept tabs on where our fixtures were and when they would be arriving. Norburn's prices were good.
In our new office space, we just thought to go with traditional flourescent lighting. But Norburn suggested a step above that would cost more, but wouldnt cause the headaches of traditional lights. We've noticed less headaches for sure.
Have you tried to find a salesman or supplier to help you design and install your own custom shower?
Good Luck, dont even try the box stores the staff dont know anything about flow rates or thermostat valves, balancing loops etc. The wholesale showrooms try and push a plumber down your throat. So I was extremely happy and surprised to find a the knowledgeable person at my favorite lighting store, Norburn. Laurie Harley put together a complete custom shower design for me with a layout and the inventory on hand. Amazing the I saved at least 3000.00 doing it myself over hiring a plumber. I recommend this place to all my co worker and family.
I live in Seattle but own a condo in Whistler, I have not been overly impressed with the service or selection in Canada at Home Centers or Builder Showrooms. In the US the level or service and selection is so much better than in Canada, that is until I met Norm Brown at Norburn Lighting. THis is a store where the staff are trained to sell the what you need and know how to steer you clear of making big mistakes even if it costs them a larger sale. I really liked the personal service I received and the products were in stock and they arranged delivery to Whistler for the large Chandelier I purchased. Thank you for making my renovation much smoother than I feared.
Norburn Lighting has an excellent selection of products, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures. They are very knowledgeable about their products. Staff are very helpful and give very good advice. The store return policy is excellent. Norm Brown is one of the most knowledgeable expert in this field.
I described the situation, said the look and mood I was going for, and Carol provided me with excellent options that fit my budget and my style. I continue to get compliments on my selections.
I had traveled everywhere for someone to help me with a lighting plan for my reno, Norburn has the pros to help and they sell plumbing too
Not only was I able to get someone to help me layout my recessed lighting plan, help choose the luminares (learned a big word) but I was able to get my plumbing fixtures as well. Grohe in the kitchen and Jado in the bath
After we lost our house in a fire we found it necessary to start buying things that we had become so used to - it ws a very emotional time but their service representatives were very helpful!!
Approximate cost of services:
$700.00
