Norburn Lighting Centre

Approximately two and a half years ago, I purchased all of my lighting fixtures for the renovation of the condo that I had just purchased. All products and service were excellent including the no charge replacement of a light that we had dropped.
Last month, the chandelier malfunctioned. I called Norburn. They offered to replace it and before I could respond, they went on to say that they would send an electrician to do the work for no charge. What more could anyone want?
The electrician did a great job and said it should be good for the next 50,000 hours.
I own my own business (jewellery store) so it's nice to be treated the way I treat my customers.

Things that went wrong:
They told us 2 weeks for our vanity, It took over 2 months.

They didn't tell us when we ordered it that it would be back ordered and ensured it would be 2 to 3 weeks max.

They didn't call us at all to tell us it would be delayed, we had to keep calling them and never really got firm dates.

Many times when we called to leave a message with the rep, she never returned out calls

Finally they say the vanity will arrive in a day or 2, they will call us when it will be delivered

They don't call us, and they guys shows up (luckily wife was home)
The delivery driver asks my wife "So how do we get this off the truck and into the house" seriously. only 1 guy came to deliver. No phone call to mention hey we don't actually have people to get this into your house for you.

My wife (Who is having heart surgery next month) has to help him get it off the truck and drag it across the lawn to the side of the house. Then he leaves.

I hope our experience will help others decide to look elsewhere for their Reno needs.

Good showroom with a vast selection. It was very busy on the weekend, so I would recommend going a weekday to get quicker service. Knowledgeable staff that can assist you with all your lighting needs.

Norburn lighting provide really good service. The staff are really knowledgeable and always provide you the best price. Linda was really helpful with all that we needed. They also provide other things then light in such as faucets.

We went to Norburn to update our lighting for our bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms. Their sales people were very patient and informative. We found their pricing to be reasonable and we liked the many different styles they offered. We would definitely recommend them for anything from a large renovation to just updating a light fixture.

I went to the Burnaby showroom for light pendants. The light pendant they displayed were beautiful and it had many variety and options to choose from. I spoke with Laurie and he is a light specialist. Based on our conversation he is very knowledgeable in his specialty. He asked me what kind of lights I am looking for, the style of my home, the brightness I want for my lights and the functions of the lights that I waned. From the questions he asked me, he found three different light pendants that fitted my home. He found what i wanted and looking for.

I went looking for a few special light fixtures to add some interest to our home. I found them and left with them that same visit. I could not believe the selection available at Norburn, I walked around there for an hour and saw something new with each loop I made of the store. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. I was greeted on arrival by several smiling faces (which has not been the case elsewhere) and felt no pressure to buy but had wonderful customer service. Great selection, great prices and wonderful people. I have already spotted the lights I want when we reno our bathrooms, I will be back.

A project I was loath to begin because of the anticipated inconvience of having my kitchen out of commission for a month was made less of a burden by the helpful staff of Norburn, amongst some of the other suppliers.

The final result is spectacular, I could not be happier with the products selected. In particular the kitchen sink and faucet from Blanco and Grohe and the under cabinet tape light.

It was not cheap but I am happy with the end result.

Great variety for every room of your home. Found pricing very competitive and willing to negotiate total. Great to work with and the gal we had was most helpful with offering suggestions and guiding us where needed. After service care is exceptional as well and very accomodating. Definately would refer them to anyone we know!

Was not very impressed with the customer service. The employees seem to pay more attention to their bigger clients and developers. If you are looking for just one item I would say go elsewhere as they do not seem to want to waste their time on only one small item or order.
