Pavilion

I don't know if I had lucked out or something but I have received nothing but great service and honesty out of the Pavilion staff. We had purchased a sectional, a leather bench and a few decorative items back in Aug 2010. We were told upfront to expect that the sectional wouldn't be ready for delivery for 12 weeks - lengthy yes, but we had been hunting for the perfect sectional for weeks anyway and if you want something, you have to be patient! Philip (I believe) was super helpful and ensured that our order was placed correctly.

I called the store at about 8 weeks just to make sure things were on track. The bench was available so I picked it up myself at their warehouse location. At 11 weeks I called again and the ladies answering the phones were MORE than pleasant and helpful. They said they were going to follow up with the manufacturer and call me back and they did (within an hour both times that I called). They said the couch will be in town by the Monday and it was.

The fiance and I had brought up the bad reviews we've read online about the store to Philip and he does read and respond to the reviews. We talked about one specific incident I read about and got his side of the story and that's just it - you only get one side of the story with these reviews (the lady who gave the specific terrible review we were talking about turned out to be quite unreasonable).

If you're weary of purchasing products from someone, be straight up and ask them: what's going on with these reviews and what did you do to help resolve things? If you're still feeling like you'll get shafted with service, then take your business elsewhere. Just my two cents.

I order a Dining Room table and chairs and was told that it should be ready 12 weeks, but will often come in quicker. Unfortunately, at 12 weeks I called and was told it wasn't ready; but should be soon. Admittedly, I wasn't a happy camper and might have been rather short with their staff, expectations and my follow up required, they could have been more proactive....

We arranged delivery when it was completed, but the builder wasn't available to deliver the table to the delivery company, and I was told that it would not be delivered that day after waiting for 2.5 hours...again none too happy. So we arranged delivery on a future date

Fast forward 1.5 weeks ( I was out of town ) the table and chairs are delivered as promised on the day I return and they picked up the tab for the delivery.

Ongoing it was a little frustrating, but in the end they did the right thing...and table is exactly as ordered and a beautiful addition to my home.

Thanks for the great service for the custom design of a bed and dining room table. The staff was very helpful with tons of suggestions and ideas. A bit on the pricy side, but that's to be expected for Queen W.

After a few visits with snotty salespeople, I bought a table because I needed to have it for X-mas. I pay $85 for delivery whe it arrives, to my surprise. They didn't tell me. Three weeks later it broke. I had to chase them down to fix it. They picked it up after three weeks, told me I'd have it back in a week. A week goes by, no word. I call and they say they "haven't had a chance" to check on the status but i will have it back next day. Next day they tell me I can't have it until the next day because their delivery person is not available. I am not available at the time they want to deliver it and suggest they find another delivery person at my convenience, not theirs. They tell me i will have it in two days and that I am "overreacting." And that "can't" find another courier. I found another courier in five minutes and had it picked up at my own expense within two hours. I have never been treated to terribly by a store and cannot believe their cavalier attitude. Maybe They're used to dealig with people for whom 2500 dollars isn't a lot of money. But I believe in treating everyone like a valued customer. I also believe in bending over backwards to please the customer, even if that means going an craigs list and finding another courier. These people suck. I hate them and can't wait until there is a for rent sign in their window.

I bought most of my home furniture at Pavilion and am tempted to buy more things than can fit into my house every time I browse. They have a great selection for those who enjoy contemporary design. Delivery was 1 and a half weeks late and I had to call and inquire more than once. Otherwise the sales staff are very helpful and courteous.

We bought our dining room table from them February 2008. The first table came with a scratch. 10 weeks later the table came without its legs. 2 weeks later the legs came. We were having a large dinner party and went to open the table only to realise it didn't have the right gliders. 3 months later, they come to install the right gliders only be a different colour from the table. Enough said!

Went in to buy beautiful double panel deco mirrors. They were the last pair in the antique black. I said I would be back in 20 minutes with my car to pick up -- She actually piled me and the mirrors into her car and dropped me off at my car and helped me load them - Now that's true customer service. Kudos!!!

Both my mother and I have purchased sofa's from Pavilion. Not only is the quality exceptional, the service and delivery were impeccable. Me thinks there may be some disgruntled employees writing reviews on this site.

HA! All the positive comments must be posted by employees or family members. Pavillion is ABSOLUTELY the WORST place to shop for furniture. We were told delivery would be 6-10 weeks...12 weeks later we still didn't have our funiture. When we inquired about the delay we got horrendous customer service; the staff hung up on us TWICE, the manager/owner blamed their supplier in China, they could not find our invoice, they never conducted follow-ups, they never give us an explanation or an apology and we could not get a refund. We finally got our funiture 18 weeks later!! Funny, they're so quick to take our money and give us exuses but they lack the fundementals in customer service. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AT PAVILLION.

After 8 stores and 25-30 tables we settled on Pavilion's Canadian made Dinec series, and Import (china) chairs. We were told 8-10 weeks for delivery.
Everything arrived in under 7 weeks, the delivery went off without a hitch, and the staff were so helpful, they even brought us a bottle of wine! I saw the same set for less money at another store but they were not able to offer any info on warranties or the type of wood!!
I think that Pavilion is a big store with a small store way of operating, they took the time to explain everything to me, then wrote out my bill by hand!!.
Me and my family have an amazing dining room now, and my wife and I went back this weekend and ordered a mirror, this is a great store! definite recommend for this store
