Rent-a-Son went from a 10 to 0. The invoice I was sent was double what I was quoted. Moving team had to do two truck loads even though I was told only one would be required. There were no additions to my inventory list. The remainder of the review holds, but poor client communication loses 10 stars - one of the best moves we have ever had has morphed into a horrible one. We are currently working with Rent-a-Son to resolve the issue.
We live/lived in a condo building with very particular rules about moves, and decided to have a professional moving company help us. Having reviewed the comments on different moving companies we contacted three. Rent-a-son was the only company to call back and provide a quote within 24 business hours.
The team that moved us were very polite and focused on doing their job right. While not quite as polished as the pictures on the website depict, they were still light years ahead of other movers.
The team arrived about fifteen minutes late, but we were given the heads up by the Operations Manager. Every one of the three was hard working. They also came prepared with extra packing materials in the event that we had forgotten something, or improperly packed an item.
