Rosedale Snow Removal

No mention of a refund and Toronto was in the middle of a snowstorm Feb 27, 2019 when I received a letter from Rosedale Snow Removal. They've closed and ceased operating effective February 20, 2019. I gave them $855.00 to cover my snow removal needs until April 15, 2019!

Paid up front $1800 for priority service - seriously disgusted.
Just received a letter in the mail that they are insolvent -
I had used them for 2 seasons and they were ok - but this year is a completely different story - has anyone else received this insolvent letter? I am considering legal action

Paid for service for the season, 2 snowfalls within 2 weeks and no show, no service , they don’t answer the phone or return calls. I had to clear the snow myself.
Stay away from this so-called company

We pre-paid for snow removal on our rental property and had no issues up until there was snow!
Last week we got walloped with 30 centimeters and after almost two days we started calling them to see why they have not cleared our property.
Well, they do not pick up phone and have message stating that they will get to everyone. Called numerous times and was unable to leave message which leads me to believe there were many angry customers. I was forced to pay three tenants Uber and clear the snow myself in minus 35 degrees. An absolute joke these people are horrible!
After 10 days they finally pick up and advise me that they did clear everybody's property. I insisted and she claimed that they did not have enough equipment, staff did not show up.... Save your money and
aggravation.

After paying for the hole year, they stopped showing after 1 month. They do not respond to my emails. This is not a legitimate business any more and you show stay away from this company.

Never pick up the phone, no return messages, horrible service, don't get ripped off like all the rest of us. I'm sure they will change their name next year and do it all over again. Be careful

We have used this company for years, and have never been happy with their service. Last year they damaged our garage door, and refused to do anything to repair it or compensate us. We reluctantly signed with them again, as the competition was either unavailable or too expensive.

This year, their service got even worse. After Toronto was hit with 25 cm of snow, they did not come to clear our driveways until 6 days later, when we had already resorted to doing it ourselves. They were impossible to reach by phone or email. I finally got a reply after threatening to take them to Small Claims Court. They indicated that they had truck difficulties, and offered nothing in terms of compensation. They have yet to reply to subsequent messages from me, or any of the messages from my neighbour.

The company demands the full contract payment at the start of the season, so we have fully paid for their services for the entire season. In return, they are not even sufficiently resourced to be able to reply to all of their customers, by email or telephone. $2,200 paid to them, and they can't return a phone call?

We originally hired them under a different company name. Rosedale Snow Removal was aggressively advertising for new clients in our neighbourhood this season, so we contacted them only to be told that they are the same company. I have also learned that they go by other 2 other names, all registered to the same business address.

This is our first time using this company and they are beyond terrible. The final straw was them not showing up after a snow storm dumped 25cm on Toronto.
Five days later and not even a word of apology or a response to a single message.
I advise not going near these clowns.

Absolutely horrid. Unprofessional, practically criminal given all the money they took from everyone upfront, now MIA. Extremely sloppy, tardy service the 2 times they came this season. After the last snowstorm, they showed up >24 hrs after the snowfall stopped, poured cheap salt all over the steps, then left the 30cm of snow covering the driveway and the sidewalk completely untouched. Unbelievable. No answer to multiple emails and calls to date.

I paid Rosedale Snow Removal just under $900 in full in September to cover snow removal for the entire winter. We had significant snowfall on Monday. It is now Thursday at 1:21 PM and they have not attended. I left one voicemail message and I have sent three emails. They simply have not responded. Today you were no longer able to get through to them by phone. They have breached their contract with me and I will be taking further action. DO NOT hire this company. You will be sorry! Their comments that we are all fake customers giving fake reviews on Home Stars are completely bogus. You can see for yourself by trying to phone them. All you will get is a fast busy signal because I guess they are getting way too many calls from dissatisfied customers. Try it yourself. 416 778-8707.
