I hired Toronto Appliance Service for a repair of an electric stove and an installation of a gas stove. The repairman showed up unprepared for the job without the correct parts. He then had to buy the parts from Canadian Tire and charged me double what he payed for the parts. He then repaired my electric stove only to have to come back two days later because the stove wasn't working.
When I talked to the manager about the repairman charging me double for parts that I could've bought myself, he said it was standard practice and wasn't willing to budge.
I do a lot of renovating and own 4 properties. I will never use this company again. They could've remedied the situation by offering me a small refund of about $75.00. Instead, they will have lost $100's if not $1000's of dollars in the long run.
- Approximate cost of services:
- $450.00
- What could this company do to improve their services?
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
