I’ve had 2 recent experiences with Citywide. First, my elderly neighbour locked herself out on a very hot Friday night last summer. Citywide sent a locksmith. It took him 3 hours (til 10 pm) to get her in and then install a new lock. She was very confused; the locksmith was extremely patient and kind in explaining what he was doing and why. I was impressed. Second, the handle fell off my back door about a month ago. Citywide fixed it, and a few other wobbly doorknobs around my house while they were at it. Last night as I was getting ready to host a dinner party for 12 people, the handle fell off again. They sent someone here within an hour. And, the locksmith had consulted with his colleague who had done the initial repair so he had a good idea of what the problem was even before he looked at it. He explained to me why it happened again, gave me a few options to consider for what to do when it happens again (it will) and didn’t charge me for the follow up house call. In summary, I liked all 3 of the Citywide locksmiths who I’ve met over the last months. They are professional, knowledgeable and left me with the strong impression that they know what they’re doing.

Working with the Citywide team is always a pleasure. They are polite, courteous, and always on time. They offer sound advice and best practices which in turn creates an exceptional product for our clients. They are my go to guys and look forward to many more years of business with them.

@medeco Unfortunately your vendor CityWide Locksmiths Ltd, Danny the owner was who I spoke with fails to understand the principal of basic customer service. Raising your voice and hanging up on a customer is by for the worst level of service you could provide.
I do not recommend this company for your lock services.

What an awful experience. I called this morning to have a door latch replaced on our front door. Initially they thought they could get to the work before 11am. By 10:20 I got a call they couldn't make it and would come around 12:30. They didn't arrive until closer to 2p. Service guy showed up with only one purpose to up-sell me all new door hardware - despite having been asked on the phone my problem - a broken latch. Commented that the latching system was builder quality and they don't repair them they replace them - $500.00+++. I feel physically sick - taken advantage of, shocked. Thought they were a reputable company but would suggest they not rest on their laurels. Disappointed and saddened. I am a trusting individual - Buyer Beware - despite me calling and suggesting they reconsider me paying the $75 service fee and other than removing the hardware and replacing it I still sit with a broken latch and an $75 plus tax paid invoice.

Our front door lock just broke (no idea how) last week and needed to get it fixed ASAP. A co-worker referred me to Citywide and they were a godsend! Ralph, our technician was friendly, professional and finished in good time. Thanks again guys! Massimo

We choose City wide after a long search, JJ patiently informed us what to buy, talked to us on numerous occasions,very helpful.Ralph is a very experienced installer,.We recommended to our neighbor,also satisfied..

We have 3 Italian doors that lock all along the spines. The locks were hard to operate and while we were away, our catsitter was locked out. She called a locksmith, who could not fix the locks and ended up drilling out the lock. We called CityWide. They understood how our doors worked and replaced the lock shafts on all 3 doors. We haven't had a problem since.

City Wide installed new locks and door handle for our front door. We came home one night in the early spring (cold and dark) to discover that the new handle was broken and we could not get into the house. Several calls to the alleged 24 hour service line resulted in no response and we ended up having to call a different locksmith to let us into our house. City Wide was arrogant and unapolegetic when we contacted them the next day - basically said it was not their problem. We have contacted the lock company to let them know the service their vendor (did not) provide.

Do not deal with firm if you can avoid it.
