About 3 years ago I bought the german made Kronotek flooring.
I was convinced with the "water resistant" 5 level, that
didn't mean much to me at first.
I have had some water spillage in previous years with
lamanant flooring, and was hesitant to buy it again.
The price was good, and I purchased it to redue our condo in this
laminate.
About 6 months after installation, our HVAC clogged up, and we
had a flood in the living room.
After taking out the baseboards, and setting up the floor fans to dry as much as possible, I was picturing having to do the flooring once again.
In about a week, the water under the flooring was almost gone.
I kept everything open, and there didn't seem like there was any
swelling of the floor planks.
Another week, and I put the baseboards back onto the walls.
Its been more than 2 years since that incident.
There has been no noticeable damage from the flooding.
A couple planks expanded to have a bit of spacing, which I just
filled in with wood filler.
You wouldn't know that I had a flood.
Very happy with the Kronotek product.
Consumer Carpert was great for initial product information,
and their pricing was very good.
I have recommended them to others.
