large order- not accurate about guarenteed time
Ordered a second entire living room set because the first one was horrible quality. The store did not take it back and I was forced to sell it for dirt cheap to try and recover some cost. I was guarenteed on by bil of sale with a witness present that what i ordered was in stock and would take no more then 3-4 weeks at the most for delivery. I have now been without furniture and paying to stay elsewhere with dependants for an additional two weeks. Parks refuses to provide any discount for the extreame inconvinience of even offer to address my extra costs because they verified my furniture would all be available only one week late and now I learn the major peices won't be in making it 7 weeks for a confirmed in stock order. This is not acceptable if i knew this was going to occur, noting I gave a second chance already I would have ordered from a competitor to obtain furniture. Now my family has no where for our holiday dinner and I am paying a mortgage for a house I cannot even stay in as there is no where for my family to even sit. Don't guarentee 3-4 weeks and verify it is in stock when clearly that was not the case. I also did not get any calls to set up delivery I called at the 5 week mark to arrange this and then was also told it was ALL in stock for the 11th. Now I learn the key peices are missing and my delivery and holiday plans are ruined. Not worth the discount to have this much of a delay with zero discount offered. The owner was supposed to call me back and had an office staff, the one who verified my delivery would occur in full call and refuse any compensation for what I am now out of pocket for relying on them to honour their guarentee. Clearly they should have said 2-3 months not a maximum of 4 weeks for all furniture to arrive. they have the copy of the same bill i do where it is clearly written 3-4 weeks maximum for full order to arrive and want me to send it to them to ignore? Now I am afraid what will happen. Oh I was offered "loaner" furniture but could not be guarenteed it did not have bugs and I would not be charged to buy that if my dependants splilled something on it. No thanks! Just send me all my furniture I paid CASH for when you say it will be there. If late offer an appropriate discount for the major inconvinience. That's what all other stores would do. I'm going to note too this was an instock order- verified by both the sales rep and office to be in and the ready date and not custom furniture. In addition: Park's set up my delivery for April 19th in the evening. Today is April 20th guess what happened with a verified delivery?? Nothing showed up. That's right not even a phone call. The Owner was to call me according to the sales rep who was arranging that and it's been two weeks- not one call recieved. The first half of my confirmed that it was full order was also sent to the wrong address. I looked at my invoice and it all had the correct address. Luckily for the first part the delivery people called me to ask where it should actually go as they were sitting infront of my former house. A property sold and not the address on my invoice to begin with.. god job for the contractors to call when they realized that was a mistake made by Parks. Park's was more than aware of the correct new address but the right address was on the bill so not even an apology for that. I requested the owner to call again this week. Still no call back. No customer service not even an apology. The comment from park's is not correct. I was verified all my furniture would be in prior now it's not and not even a call about not geting a delivery last night for their delay. I also did not refuse to send my invoice. I stated I had no way to send it in at that time and at the time I was at work and the invoice was at home. I also reminded them that this was on their typed out computer print out and they had a copy on file which clearly states delivery within 3-4 weeks guarenteed. I also have witnesses to all of this transaction. I have two disabled dependants and no where for my family to sit in my home. Park's claims that they can't work it out with a customer who has spent now over 6k within less than a year not to meantion several thousand over the last decade because of there low prices, well as a Senior manager in a major corporation this is simply a tax write off and all other stores would offer some sort of discount or at least delivery reimbursed even a store credit for a future purchase for the inconvinience even the consumers protection act spells out what should occur in these situations. None of what has occured. The former management was much more customer friendly and cared about providing quality and quality service with full accountability when incorrect information is provided. The furniture is also not the colour it was shown to be. It is brown. I ordered slate grey. Luckily it will work with my flooring and I can live with it as I am not paying an insane restocking fee and waiting more weeks for furniture that is needed. but it is not anything near what was expected. Park's could easily take some accountability for their errors but instead they attack the paying customer. How about deliver when you say you are going to, offer some sort of discount and free delivery when things are screwed up, and call someone when their delivery is not going to show up. We wasted all night waiting and trying to contact someone to find out where the delivery set up and verified for was. Not a single call saying no delivery or something went wrong. Even the first delivery it was confirmed to be delivered on the 19th noting here the furniture was supposed to be there by April 8th then on April 15th I set up a confirmed full order to find out at the last minute the most important peices were not in. Then it was confirmed to be in April 19th and delivery was set for April 19th in the evening between 5-9pm. I verified it again, and nothing showed up! This is ok to do? No calls no nothing? My first set purchased in November 2016 this time around was not what it was supposed to be either. The couches were horrible and my sales rep did nothing about that. I gave parks a second chance and now all the bad reviews I have read is exactly what I am experiencing. Professionals speak to their customers. They work out something mutually beneficial and they stand by their products with customer service and accountability. Even your incorrect response states I will be gewtting my furniture on April 19th. Still nothing so how about the owner calls me to work this out after I spend physical cash to furnish my new home. A table chair is also wonky as is an end table are you going to replace the defective items at no cost to me? My kitchen table that did arrive, is not the correct colour. Lots of issues I would like to discuss yet no one will call me back. The person who verified the order would be all in and delivered April 15th- late- also back peddled and said I was mistaken and she said there would be missing peices. Here is a major fact: I would have waited to set up the delivery in the first place and not have made easter plans with company if I knew my couch and love seat were not coming. It was verified and instead of simply taking some accountability and even providing an apology they were untruthful. Clearly about my order arriving last night as well since I still have no furniture for my family. So here I stil waiting again for calls to come in to explain why my delivery did not arrive last night. I even verified it yesterday morning as I had a bad feeling that something else was going to go wrong. Park's in their comment even verified the 19th. Well that did not happen and I paid someone to be at my home at 5 as I could not get back until 6. He was there at 445 and we left the home at 10pm not a single truck in sight and no delievery not even a call. It makes me wonder if they delivered to some other address again. The entire experience has been unnesessary stress, which could have been fully avoided if Park's simply owned up to some major errors and even offered to refund the delivery charges at the most basic customer service expectations. It is amazing what simple accountability does for a company's reputation. There is no valid excuse to last night's no show. Not without a call to the Customer. My time and others time is valuable.
