Feb 28, 2018. I ordered a belt for my Kenmore washer on Friday the 23rd and was told it would take 3 days. I even took the old belt with me to ensure they could pull a number off for reference. The belt arrived and when I picked it up, an older woman who I assume is the manager was very curt. She told me to make sure it is the right one and not to open the package before confirming. I did so later that evening by double checking the numbers online.... well the belt did not fit as it was too short.
Today I went in and I explained that the belt is too short comparing it to the older belt. This woman again was downright arrogant and rude suggesting they had called the previous day and confirmed no belt was available for my washer. It turned out she was in error of who they spoke to but no apology. Then she tried her hardest to tell me my washer was defective and I need a new part as the belt should fit. My washer is 2 yrs old and works fine except the belt was burned by rubbing on the protective housing. After a long session of trying to find some information on line, she finally acknowledged the model # is right but the belt is too short.. but then accused me of trying to switch belts and return it for a refund. I asked her if she was serious and she said it has happened before with a condescending attitude. I assured her it was the actual belt and she basically accused me of being untruthful.
If you have a choice to go elsewhere for your parts... DO IT. A small business who treats customers in this manner do not deserve our patronage or money. As for the owner....I read a lot of your remarks about speaking to staff and retraining but it seems you need to replace this woman with someone who understands that without a paying customer, your business is DEAD>
Good luck... you need it as I will never return to your store and I will ensure my friends and family know of my experiences.
