Classicview Additions Design Build

We had a great experience working with Classic View. We had two bathrooms redone, our hardwood redone, and the walls reconfigured. They were a pleasure to deal with, the contractor was very hands on and present a lot; he came by daily which was good. They always responded immediately to our questions, were very accessible. Always arrived on time, friendly, they definitely seemed to know what they were doing, specialists came in for each piece of work.

We got Classic View to expanded the size of our bungalow and renovate the interior. They were great to work with! Anytime there was a small problem that came up during the renovation they always came right away to fix it. They did such a good job on the bungalow that we had them back to do work on our bathroom and the final result was incredible. Very good people, professional, and always on time. There are no arguments with them, once you tell them what you want they will find solutions that work

I found Classic View on the internet and I checked out other companies too but I liked Omri, his price was reasonable and fair, and I checked his references. He gutted our main floor and upstairs and then insulated and restudded and put everything back together. I was very happy with what he did and I've already recommended him to others.

Classic View had done my neighbour's home renovation and I had other contractors come in but because of the good review from my neighbour, and the professional way they took in order to give me a proper quote and answer all my questions, I decided to go with them.

They renovated my main floor, which included a new kitchen, new entrance to the house (with new beautiful doors, skylight, buildins, cathedral ceiling and a special shoes closet!), taking walls down, replaced a window and patio door, moulding and new hardwood flooring, Installing the TV, etc.

Classic View's crew always came on time and when expecting any delay they always let me know in advance. We made some minor changes in the plans during the project, and these were always handled professionally and with the lowest impact on our budget.
The entire project was completed in exactly the schedule we set up front! We were so happy that we got our main floor done on time and within budget, and can't be more happy with the work Classic View did.

I found out about him purely by chance. I had interviewed 10 contractors and was not pleased with any of them, and then I saw his truck by chance on the street and I checked his website and decided to call him up. I was very pleased with him (liked his demeanor, what he said, and I felt like I could trust him) and I didn’t get that feeling from the other contractors. Of course I checked his references afterwards and his price was in the same range as the other contractors. He did two large additions on the house for us-the main floor and second floor. That included the master bedroom, two full washroom, the whole kitchen, and all the floors. It was supposed to be a medium sized project but then we kept adding projects so it became a much larger job, so that's why it took as long as it did. As far as the design he gave us good contributions in terms of improving the design that we already had in mind. And in terms of quality of work, well it's been about a year and a half since the job and everything is still perfect and working fine. He's a pleasure to work with, friendly, perceptive to what we had to say, and working with him was always very good. We're very satisfied with the work overall.

Here are the pros and cons of this company.

Pros:
- Very nice workers, polite, appropriate
- Reasonable price
- Solid work on building the addition
- Provides solid written guarantee for their work
- Willing to come and investigate after work is done if there is any problem

Cons:
- Finished the project much later (twice as scheduled)
- After work has started/is done, takes a while to get back to you when you have questions/concerns
- During the construction, sometimes, they said they would come on a day (which may require you to be home), but they did not show up
- We paid more for other things (like deck) and so there were problems like them having to re-level the deck, the door was crooked and way too heavy to open that we have to fix it ourselves a few times, the bottom of the deck was not closed off properly, so raccoons and a rat went in under the deck/inside the house

This is the first time someone has come over for a renovation in our house so we didn't know what to expect. Our friends were all building new homes but we wanted to stay in our neighbourhood so we wanted an addition. The project ended up taking far longer than expected (they told us it would take 6 weeks but it ended up taking about 12). It also felt like it took longer and longer as they were nearing the end. They have a guarantee of their work so they were willing to come back and fix any problems but at times they wouldn't show up for those appointments. It's not that we're unhappy, but it would be nice if these problems didn't take place. The workers were polite and not rude or disrespectful in any way, and the price was fine too.

Overall, we enjoy their work on the addition. We don’t know what is to expect when it comes to time lines (re: communication/ finish work) in this field. I will recommend them for their work on the addition since that is their specialty. We would have appreciated them adhering to timelines much more closely and respond more promptly when there were questions/concerns.

I knew about Classic View because Omri was a client of mine. I knew ahead of time what their pricing would be and he also gave me a really good price. They did a renovation of my house-bathroom, kitchen and hall. I'd give them an 8.7 out of 10 because I was pretty happy with the job done.

They were recommended to me by a friend of mine and Omri's quote was very organized in comparison to the other quote I got which was so scatterbrained that I didn't know what I would be paying for. Plus he came highly recommended and that was important to me. They first did a large addition to our house and this time they did the bathroom. The second time around I didn't even get a second quote because I knew things would be done well. If I were to do things over I would definitely choose him again.

We got a referral from a friend and went with Classic View Home Renovations for the additions to our house at the time. It was enjoyable working with Omri (he was a nice person to work with), and everything was what we wanted for the project. My only advice is that they should have a follow up in order to ensure that everything is warrantied for a reasonable amount of time.
