We had a house fire in December of 2021. The roofer who completed our new roof did not get it right after doing it the first time. We have a low-slope roof and it takes a special expertise to complete it properly. It was a HORRIBLE job and leaked immediately. The second time it was half-way complete and they ripped it up and started over. When it was complete, it looked terrible. We then had a Home Inspector come and take photos of the roof and there were MANY issues. It was obvious each time that the roofer had no idea of how to correctly instal a low-slope roof. We submitted the report to all involved and nothing was resolved. We had a friend, who is a roofer, and has been for many years, look at it first. He pointed out all of the visible issues and told us that it would definitely leak within the next couple of years. Then we had Rob from DeLuca Roofing come and take a look. He told us that it was a terrible job. He felt sorry for us. I subitted his report and quote to our insurance company, but they still refused to have it done properly by experts at DeLuca roofing. We decided that it would be better to pay for it ourselves, have it completed correctly, and feel assured that we would have no leaks that would cause further damage for the next 20 - 25 years, as it should be. We were given a quote, provided a deposit, and now we have a PERFECT roof!! The payment was thousands of dollars below our quote! We could not be happier! You get what you pay for.
