I highly recommend John and his crew to do your roof. My neighbour recommended him and told me that he was the original roofer that did my house almost 18 years ago! We had a small leak in the winter, so his people came out to fix it until they were able to replace the roof in the spring. The leak was a hard one to find but they persisted and our roof was one of the first in the season for him to replace.

John took photos for the quote and took his time in explaining all the work that was needed. Because he did the roof previously, he had the details of that job and the history of certain existing features. The job was done on time and John came himself to help with the flat roof section of the roof. The worksite was kept clean and an after bin pickup walk through was done by John personally to make sure no nails or other garbage was left on site. He also took photos of the completed roof.

Also right after the roof job was done, we had a bunch of those massive downpours. I called him because we had a lot of rain pouring off the roof. He responded asap and we were able to determine that it was in fact the eaves trough that was incorrectly installed and even though he had nothing to do with the eavestrough as part of this job, he fixed it for me just because he is such a nice person and wanted us to be happy with the result.

My communications with John have been prompt and friendly. The roof looks great and we had no issues with the rain ever since the adjustment of the eavestrough. If you need a roofer, call John.

J Stewart Roofing looked after this job very professionally and efficiently. Crew were conscientious about protecting my garden and house before stripping old shingles, and did a through job cleaning up once the job was complete.

We appreciated the before photos of the roof at the beginning of the work. The crew was respectful, hard working and efficient. The days were hot and humid but the crew maintained a steady work pace.The job was completed within the given time and the site was left in good order. The "after" photos gave one the feeling of a job well done!

We've used J. Stewart Roofing a couple of times over the past 20 years and have been incredibly impressed, and very happy with the work both times. Most recently J. Stewart Roofing replaced our flat roof, which was a fairly massive job as we don't believe the roof had been fully replaced for 50+ years.

John did a very thorough assessment of the task at hand, and took every effort to explain the details and the process of the project - while at our house he took lots of pictures so we could see the layers of roofing that would need to be removed, and followed up with details on the process to replace our roof in writing, accompanied by photographic examples from other job sites. We expressed an interest in insulating the roof and John was candid and honest about the pros & cons of this approach - zero pressure, just lots of information.

The crew who performed the work are amazing, and their attention to detail on every aspect, including a great clean-up job at the end, is great.

Great company. They replaced my roof 23 years ago and I was happy to have them back again. The quote was reasonable and the process was easy. The team of three men were professional. They handled a huge hidden wasps nest with grace. They removed a decaying chimney and fixed my roof, it all looks great. I highly recommend them.

After some quotes from various roofing companies to replace the shingles on the roof of our semi-detached house, I decided to go with J Stewart Roofing Ltd. The owner, John, came to inspect the roof and took photos so I could see the condition of the roof up close. None of the other companies did that. John is a friendly, experienced and knowledgeable roofer. On the day of the job, the debris bin arrived promptly at 8am, followed by John's crew of three. The guys set up drop sheets and boards to cover the windows and doors for protection of our house and the neighbour's house too. The guys worked hard all day and into the evening with only a couple of breaks. Including cleanup they managed to complete the roof in one day! Wow! My neighbour commented that he was impressed by how careful and clean the guys worked. What really impressed me was when the guys came by the next day because they had forgotten to clean up one small area. This shows that they take pride in what in the work they do and care about completing a job as promised. I would not hesitate to recommend J Stewart Roofing for a quality job completed by skilled roofers using quality materials.
