Finally replaced that old skylight
Sought out Skylights Unlimited because of their certified Velux installers when an ancient skylight sprung a leak. Denis was a great professional to work with, appreciated his expertise and frank assessment. Our new Velux skylight and blinds are great, took the temperature in our loft down 5 degrees in the summer adding the blinds and ability to open and vent. We're very happy with this project.

Thanks for the feedback on that new opening skylight + blind.
Because a opening skylight is usually at the highest point of the house, it can produce that "chimney effect".
Hot air wants to rise and escape quite naturally and that allows the cool A/C air to take its place.
Much more comfortable.
