Ordered a front door, quote was 6 to 8 weeks, 14 weeks later it arrived, from factory frame was cracked, took another 3 weeks to get a replacement, will not recommend them, did not even say sorry or offer a discount

Salesman came out, explained the options we were looking for a particular window style so the window would be outside the angled corners, and he found a style that would work. Price was competitive with other quotes.

Installer came out on the day that was arranged on time and had the new door installed and weather stripped in under 3 hours. Reconnected the old garaged door opener and the door looks and operates as it should.

We had a spring break on the double garage door and the car was stuck inside. Barcol was quick to respond, on time and fixed it right. We were so happy with them that we called em to replace the entire opener not long after.

Garage door was installed but 2 middle panels were slightly dented in the process. Replacements were installed but have a different finish that installers failed to notice. The door is black but now has 2 panels with a gloss finish and 2 replacement panels that have a matte finish. On a side note: Installers also walked on casings that were being painted rather than moving, covering or stepping over them Trim was installed by contractor because Barcol was not returning in a reasonable amount of time to do so after they had been here twice and not done it. Builder left with door issue unresolved. After waiting longer than I should have I called Edmonton office & was eventually referred to Gil, the manager. He told me garage doors were a special baked on paint process that you can't just spray or brush on. He then said I would have to paint the door due to the amount of time that had passed. The fact that the installers installed panels that did not match in the first place was not a time factor and I stated so. I asked why the finishes were not matched before the replacement panels were installed or at least the differences were not noticed by Barcol staff He said he would try to find out what happened and asked that I give him a week. 6 months later I had not heard from him so I called back. He said he forgot about it but had asked the installer and he did not know what happened. Told me I should just paint the door because he wasn't doing anything about it. Obviously Barcol Door and Windows company policy is not to follow up with acceptable customer service. I was not at all impressed with Gil's contradictory replies nor the fact that I had to call back when he was supposed to call me. The door works well but looks not so good. The Barcol name will be associated in my search for a qualified painter that I do not anticipate being a one stop shopping process. I am highly recommending that others not choose Barcol Doors & Windows when purchasing their new garage doors not because of the quality of the product but because the after sales customer service is very unsatisfactory.

I have a Barcol installed garage door in my brand new house and during the first winter, garage door came out of the railings due to poor install/ material and got stuck midway through; trapping my cars inside the garage and I had to get to work early morning next day. Garage door is under warranty and when contacted their emergency number, they refuse to come out to fix it without agreeing to paying their technician. This is outrageous since they offer 24 hours service only if you pay for it even if it is covered under their warranty. Very poor service specially since they should have done it right the first time around. They fixed it very late next day after many phone calls, which is not a timely response at all when it is critical and had to take a day off work because of it. Upon fixing it manager threatened that he is cancelling the warranty because we simply tried to close the garage door so someone does not take my valuable tools and equipment in the garage overnight. Again, if they sent someone out same night we would not have to touch it at all. They failed to recognize urgency and very disrespectful to customer.

Come on time, very professional and friendly. After fixed everything take time to check to ensure nothing else is wrong and very patient to explain how to use the new pad and remote.Prices is very resonable.

booked an appointment for service, the tech showed up on time, fixed the issue. the tech was friendly and professional. will use them again on future garage service work. the bill was exactly the quoted price, no surprises.

Needed a new garage door and contacted 5 companies. Three of the five gave me quotes over the phone. When I asked if they were going to come out to take measurements, they said they didn't need too! Barry from Barcol came out to the house the day after I called. He gave me a quote and explained to me what would be done. A couple of days later the installer came. The work was very completed in a professional and timely manner. Without hesitation, I would recommend Barcol. Thank you again for a great job!
