Good Deal Stone & Cabinets

Countertops did not fit properly after they installed them. They would not replace then or refund the money. They did not answer our phone calls so we had to file a dispute with MasterCard.

81 year old senior woman on a small pension without sink or dishwasher for 3 months as she tries to get Good Deal Stone & Cabinets to replace the counter tops that they installed that are too small. The result is there are 3/4" gaps between the counter top and cabinets, the slide in stove is 3/4" lower than the counter tops as the countertops were installed using 3/4" plywood that raised them up too high. There is no overhang. The company is claiming that the countertops are a standard size (even though the job is custom). The contract was for 25.5" wide and the counter tops are in fact 24.75" wide. Many unanswered phone calls.

Quartz countertops from Good Deal Stone & Cabinets bought Dec 2010, they were installed three weeks later but were cut too small. We ordered 25.5" and they came 24.75" in width. The installers built up the countertops with plywood so they would be level and raised the height of the counters about a inch. There are gaps in the front of the cupboards and between counter and stove and they are about an inch higher than the stove. People from Good Deals have come out twice to look at the countertops but have not resolved the problem or refunded the money. We also had to wait for over a month because the owner Nancy was in China for Chinese New Year and no one else had the authorization to do anything. Nancy said she would change them now they say that she never said that and Nancy will not return the any phone calls. It has been over two months with out a sink or dishwasher and washing dishes and preparing meals in bathroom sink, not an easy task for an elderly woman. This has been going on now for almost three months. We are still trying to get some response from Good Deal Stones & Cabinets but I don't think they care as they have thier money.
