Cedar Roof Ontario

Very professional, I also got some copper work done, the copper looks great with the cedar on my lakefront cottage. They were very professional, my estimate was reasonable and they the work was done in a timely manor.

Hmm. Hard to say. I have used them three times. Twice for my home in Vancouver, and once in our place in Whistler. They power washed the roof, replaced old shakes, and treated it for moss. This month I had a leak. I called them and they sent someone over right away - and mentioned it was under warranty. I wasn't home but someone else was. They called to tell me they replaced some 'shins' and it should be good for the winter. Today, leak still there. Called 'Dave'. Kinda made me feel like it was my fault it was still leading because 'I wasn't there and couldn't identify the spot " and 'next time they will schedule someone when I was home' - despite the fact someone was home that identified where the leak was. I mentioned someone WAS home and he hung up on me. So there you go! New owner? Don't know. But even if it was a leak he might not be able to fix - he should have highlighted that and gotten back to me. So there you go. Avoid them from now on!

This is the roofer from Hell! They took 11 weeks to complete a job promised for 3 weeks. They did work not requested causing additional expenses - like painting part of the house. The flashings were not all replaced, chimneys leak, they damaged soffits, they constantly asked to be paid before completion. They refuse to live up to the warranty - I have had to pay others to come in and fix their mistakes. They come by the house periodically with threatening invoices for the work we did not request. Think twice before you sign with this company.

Even though this cedar roofing company is based in St. Catharines Ontario, they advertised in the Toronto Yellow Pages and they actually came out to the east end of Toronto to do the job!
They showed up when they said they would, they did the job in the cold of November 2008 and when it snowed we thought we would not see them, however they still showed up and kept things going.
They cleaned up each day, worked long hours and our complete roof was done in about a week. We also had them do our flat roof on our garage, different crew but with the same level of satisfaction.
Not often that we can whole heartedly recommend a company but this is one that we can.
