Murray's Appliance Service

I was so impressed with this guy. I called, made an appointment. Of course when he showed up, my dryer worked just fine. He waited a bit and heat stopped. He tested different things and found problem. He even went out of his way to get a used part. Thank you Jeremy for your amazing service. I will definately be calling you again if I ever have another problem with any of my appliances!

Called Murray to inquire about repairing my Dryer that was not heating up. Was advised the heater would probably have to be replaced and an appointment was made for him to repair the Dryer 2 days later. Murray showed up on the date agreed and determined the thermostat was the problem and replaced it. Total cost for 45 minutes of work, $230 plus tax which included a 3 month warranty. Murray offers a $10 discount in exchange for a 5 star review. This made me question the other positive reviews I've seen on-line. 2 Months later, the Dryer is experiencing the same problem?! Now I am annoyed because I paid $230 plus tax and he didn't repair the Dryer properly. Tried calling to get it repaired again but he was on holidays for 2 weeks. Called him back after his holiday and was told he would need to order a replacement part. He then called me back on a Thursday evening requesting to come Friday morning. Advised that I need more notice and requested that he come on a Saturday. He agreed but could not give me an estimated time? Advised to call me when he knows. Saturday morning arrives and he just shows up at 9am without calling in advance or confirming a time. I was not at home and my Wife questioned why he didn't call or let me know what time he was coming so I would be home. Murray got upset, raised his voice and started arguing with my wife with my kids in the house!! He then picked up his bag and said "Take me to court". He had no intentions of honouring the warranty on his invoice. My wife kicked him out. He has a very bad attitude and will constantly refer to his old age. Being a senior does not give anyone the right to be disrespectful, especially if you didn't fix a product properly. **** I do NOT recommend that you use Murray's Appliance Service for your repair **** Pay attention to the other Negative Reviews.

Jan12,19 he asked for $225 he said it was the belt; I told him it was a sock. I was right. He majorly damaged my hard wood floor. He said it was a nail; which I’m sure he found in the dryer; he refused help. I warned about not marking my floors. See the photos below. His was rude 3 times before he had started I was stupid for not asking him

My washer wouldn't empty the water. I called Murray appliances and he came the same day. Mr. Murray was professional and repaired my washer and it works like new.

I appreciate the repair and not trying to get me to buy a new one.

Ad says services caledon but in fact he charges extra for distances he claims are too far within Caledon. Seemed abrupt and out of place because he had to move machine from its location to get in behind machine for what is a routine check up and/or diagnosis. Customer service disposition lacked professionalism on site. Ended up repairs would cost almost as much as for new machine! Not impressed and not again.

My dryer stopped working and smoke was coming out of the panel. I called Murray's Appliance Service and he was able to come out that afternoon between jobs to assess what was wrong. He left and bought the part and came back and completed the job the same day. Parts were $35 and labour was $100. He was polite and got the job done. Labour seemed a little steep but overall it was less than investing in a new dryer.

Bottom line is this person was so incompetent it took them 40 minutes just to get the freezer door off and the problems escalated from there. End result, he tried to charge me double his $90 quote (guaranteed by his internet ad that the quote won't increase once he starts the job) and with all his incompetence pushed the fridge back only to damage my slate floor, damage the new kitchen cabinet surrounding it (all of which I could live with) and to dent my stainless steel fridge with the wire rack from the freezer which he banged multiple times (while he left the fridge alarm going for about 15 minutes??). Tried to call directly to resolve which was met with unbelievable expletives then issued a complaint to the Better Business Bureau which he failed to respond to. He has the worst customer rating you can have ("F") with the BBB. I sure wish I knew about this website before I opened the phone book - everyday I go to the fridge and the first thing I see is the damage he did and I feel like crying. I know its only an appliance but I would like to make sure he isn't so careless with anyone else.
