To whom it may concern,
We are an ex customer of Crimson Systems and just wanted to provide my two cents if you will since I do not want any other company to go through what we went through. Beware!! Crimson will make it sound like this is a large corporation with various specialized technicians, but really it’s him and one other employee.
We learned quickly at my company that you cannot question any hours they charge you for. We suspected we were paying a lot of hours for the tech to figure things out rather than the tech actually knowing how things worked.
At the end, when we questioned being charged hundreds for time spend on a part in our server that was replaced under warranty, we received no explanation from Crimson. All we got was the owner boasting about how successful he was and how his company is one of the most successful IT companies in North America (which is not true in any regards), in multiple long voicemails and emails. He even personally shamed my behavior, saying he didn’t appreciated how I treated him, which was totally uncalled for considering all I did was voice my concerns. He said I came out “guns-a-blazing’“ and was rude because I didn’t ask him how he was. Really?! I was pulled into the middle of the meeting by the president of our company to do just that, voice our concerns.
At one point on a phone call after the owner of Crimson had called multiple times in a row, he criticized the president of our company for not ever thanking them for the work they do... ummm, what? Who is the customer here?? Isn’t the “thank-you” paying our bills and continuing to work with you?! This guy can’t be serious. Oh, but he was.
We decided it was definitely time to move on and Crimson refused to cooperate and pass on our passwords to our new IT company. We refused to pay further invoices in question, which is a good thing because we found out much worse things after the new company took over that will cost us thousands, on top of the costs to have our system “hacked” into to gain control. Crimson voided the warranty on the firewall we purchased from them a year and a half ago by changing default settings. They also charged us for the firewall software months ago and never activated it. We found out the firewall equipment is 3yrs old, which doesn’t jive with our purchase date of a year and a half ago, so we were likely sold used equipment. We also purchased a total of 6 WAP and can only locate 4 in our building. Although those will have to be replaced with the firewall anyways. The best thing we got out of Crimson was our server, which they contracted the build of out to the company we’re now working with!
Crimson computer products or Crimson Systems, the name they also use, is super shady, and the owner is a smooth-talking used car salesman. Don’t be fooled.
I am not sure if you checked him out on the BBB (there is a complain already) or asked for references, I doubt he may be able to provide any even when he boasts about all of these large industry customers.
Check my Internet review in Google reviews along with other dissatisfied customers.
Please just check references and avoid a headache
