I worked with Craig when ordering our windows, and he was very helpful and offered up some great suggestions, and from there everything went sideways. Delivery was late, and I can live with that, being in construction myself I understand, things change. I made arrangements for them to call when they would be delivering them, and I would meet them, so they could put the windows and doors inside. This was even good, they called I met them, but the driver said he couldn't start unloading till I gave him a cheque for the remainder of the invoice, I thought this was okay so I gave him the cheque for the total remainder of the invoice. To my surprise when they said that was all, my patio door was not there, I asked about it and the driver said not to worry that it was back ordered and I would get it shortly. This was in Early November, after numerous calls and promised dates, I finally received our patio door late January. I am installing the windows and doors myself as I am, a journeyman carpenter, as well a journeyman electrician, but I am installing them when the weather is good. I went to install the two windows in our outside garage, and to my surprise, they are to big, I checked the measurements I had given to Craig and they were right, so I then checked the invoice and the measurements on it was correct as well, I then checked the QC sticker that is put on the windows before they are shipped and they have he right measurements on it as well, but the windows were not made to the measurements, that were given or to the measurements on the sales slip or the QC slip on the window itself. So I made a call, and I was told that normally when they get measurements that there is some play, but I quickly told them that, that may be true, but why were the other 15 windows out of the 17 I ordered, were made to the measurements on the sales slip. This was the end of the discussion, and I was told that they would bring it up with management, and get back to me. Surprise nobody got back to me, I called again, and again was promised that they would get back to me. Still no one did, this time I sent an email back to Craig and to customer care, stating that I wanted them to replace the two windows or pay me for the time and materials, to make the windows work. This time I did receive a call from Amy, the assistant to the manager, and she said that she would check into it and get back to me. I asked when that would be and she said she would be talking to the manager, and get right back to me, but for sure by the end of the week. I hope some one with Durabuilt Windows reds this and will help me with my problem.
