I have been a construction manager for 2 different residential contractors/renovators for the past 5 years. Cal Res has been my primary painting contractor on approximately 90 projects.
Joshua Lamoureux (Cal Res' absolute best asset) has come through every single time for me. Not saying that every job has gone seamlessly (not all of them do) but the end results always met or exceeded my expectations.
Recently Cal Res had gone through a difficult transition with some of their key painters moving into managerial roles. One or two of our jobs had suffered from some poor prep work and it really didn't present well to the clients (saying that, it was not final coat). Joshua stepped up, got the right people in there to fix it up and get the project looking good. He owned and acknowledged the poor quality and got it sorted long before the project was completed. There is no question that Joshua himself goes above and beyond every single time.
I should also give credit to Josh Mundy who was one of their best painters and is now a supervisor. Both of these guys bend over backwards to make things happen. Despite the roll they play, they both get in there with their crews working til the wee hours to get things done (when necessary or requested).
Credit to all the workers whose sweat makes it all possible.
There is a reason that I can comfortably give Cal Res a 10 star rating. Despite a few minimal issues over the years, Joshua Lamoureux and Cal Res have always provided me with a sense of security that in the end, no matter what, they will get the job done and done well!
