Hired Peter Hughes to do our front patio and side path. Very pleased with the fence and the general work. However they are not a concrete company. Even though they appeared to make proper preparation and reinforcement, the concrete did not survive one winter. The patio and path were sloped towards the house causing problems with the rendering and probably caused the damage to the concrete. Multiple cracks, scabbing and scaling. After first refusing to make any repairs, they did come and replace some panels. However they also failed in their first winter. The removal of the first lot of concrete also damaged windows and concrete that wasnt replaced. I recommend them for landscaping work but dont ask them to do concrete.

Peter Hughes Landscape has provided amazing service to us in our new home. (we also used them in the past when we lived in Calgary previously which great results) They resigned our yard when we moved in to our new home and they also do our weekly maintenance and snow removal. They quickly took our yard from good to great and had many ideas we did not think of and gave us many options to choose from. Their concrete work they did was outstanding as there helped get our pool area to where it needed to be. Their people are always on schedule and offered friendly and superior service. They are always on budget and on time from their original quote which is not something we have experienced with others. We have had a great experience and appreciate all the work they do for us. I will continue to use them for future work and know the service levels with be as superior as they always are.

We have used PeterHughes for at least the last 5 years at our 8 unit condo building. There are definitely pro’s and con’s to this company. We pay an average of $340/month for their snow removal service and I can’t recall the cost of the mowing service but we cancelled it a few years ago not because eof the job but because they always came and mowed at around 7:30 am (which caused complaints for the residents). Pro’s are: reliable, pretty good clearing job, come early in the day and do not generally take 24 hours from snowfall to clear snow. Con’s: excessively salt and charge $25/bag. We pay for a $225/month monthly service but with the excess snowfall charges and $25 ice melt application that they obviously use every single time they come we end up paying an average of $140 more than this per month, their customer service responses are sporadic

Overall, this company does not meet the expectation of the buildup of it's website. That was one of the reasons I choose this company. Overall, does not pay attention to the details say's one thing and does another. Also, seems to have a problem responding to emails sent to him. Took him four months to get back to me on a rock issue in the backyard. By that time I had written him and his company off.
