Not sure, but I had the best experience with Eastforest Homes.
Sure, there were some hiccups on the construction side due to the trades they have hired, but everything was resolved smoothly. I had the same issue as Nick with water leaking through the vent. Turned out that the brick was actually porous, not mortar joints or the seal, the actual brick. I was amazed how committed they were to finding the leak.
All in all super happy with my house and the service I've received.

We purchased our home though Eastforest, in the Doon area of Kitchener. We have had nothing but issues with this house. It does not feel like a home. Today our kitchen hood fan was leaking, through the exhaust fan. It was raining today and now we have a kitchen flood. We had to disconnect the stove and turn off the power to the hood fan. Water damage that should not be an issue.
We were mopping floors and wiping counters for hours and we ended up having to unscrew the hood fan and wipe the top of if off.
They do not care about the homes they produce, just your money.
Our basement stairs were not attached properly, two screw to hold a staircase??
The city came out and told us to evacuate the house, because during the construction of the neighbours house they covered our exhaust fans. They said there is a potential for a carbon monoxide leak. In addition the city worker disconnected the igniter in the basement, for the furnace in the winter.
They tore the bubble wrap off the foundation of our energy star house while constructing the next door neighbours house.
The city came another time and informed us that the gas line hook up was leaking for months, and they had to repair it.
The house did not come with any towel racks or toilet paper holders. When the builder did supply them, they were rickety and silver and were not brass ones as originally indicated.
We built a deck this year and the windows on the back of the house was not cocked. We noticed and the builder re-cocked it.
The basement ceiling has these wood pieces that keep falling out from between the floor Joyce and are coming undone.
The builder inspects the house not Tarion. Unqualified in my opinion. I have voiced my opinion to Eastforest and I was told to move, if I was unsatisfied.
This is by far is the worst experience I have ever had in a home. I will not and will never own a Eastforest home again, and would never recommend them to anyone.

Update:

In the end everything was replaced and fixed. I do not expect things to go as smoothly and get taken care of as quickly as it did. Overall I am Impressed with East Forest Homes in resolving the issue.

This experience was the worst we have ever had, customer service was horrible, with the people involved to the Site Supervisor even. We feel they had
No integrity,and no honesty in the job they did for us. The workmanship, the pride in a job done well is not even evident. They poured our foundation wrong and in doing so and not correcting this error right in the beginning( they did not even tells us) we received a laundry room that was a much smaller room than we had contracted for. Along with bricking over our man door, putting up the wrong brick on the front of the house, the wrong garage door, 2 cracks in the walls, and other serious mistakes, and concerns about
the end product we are so upset with East Forest.We had a meeting with the VP , which we felt absolutely no compassion about what they did to us, she even came to our home and looked at all of the issues we had....she said that they should build as a new home but in a different area than where we want to live in.....what does that tell you!
Anyways as of right now, November 28th/11 we will continue to push and push until we get some kind of compensation....see the whole story in google review shortly.....our dream home experience was one of the worst experiences that we have had experienced for a huge money purchase. We do not want other people to go through all of the aches and pains that we have and continue to as of this moment. It is truly sad that these things can happen in this day and age where technology is here to help make each job an easier transition and the word "CUSTOMER SERVICE" is so essential now in keeping your customers happy and away from the competition. We would love to see a resolution to all of this.

--The service was fairly good. Usually gets back to you on quotes in a reasonable times.
--Not good quality of wood framing
--Easy to customize the home (Layout, flooring etc..)
--Good selection of standard products
--Energy star
--Good prices on appliances (Better than retailers)
