A very disappointing experience with Armstrong Moving.
The company were advised that the shipment would be arriving and going immediately into storage for at least 6-12 months. They advised me to take out insurance through themselves in order to keep it all 'under one umbrella', which I did for the container of household items.
Once the shipment arrived, I was charged additional fees at the entry port, because there was too much shipping coming in, and mine would need to be stored before being trucked to it's destination.
The shipment eventually made it to the end storage facility and 10 months later, I was able to unpack them from storage. Many of the items did not arrive and those that did had severe damage/breakage. When contacting Armstrong they apologised and said their insurance was only valid for 60 days once arriving at the destination.
Moving and shipping is already an incredibly stressful time, but when the people you have entrusted with your household items have clearly no care at all for what they are packing, it adds insult to the mix. Books were packed with shoes and sheets so that almost every book was bent out of shape. Shoes were not wrapped, so heels ripped through other leather shoes and clothes. A vintage dresser had the integral mirror broken off in order for it to fit into a box and then the packer had the audacity to write on the box that the item was broken! At least 2/3 of the clothing items did not arrive, several pieces of wall art had their frames cracked and glass shattered, much of the kitchen crockery was cracked and broken due to insufficient packing material. All in all, an awful experience and one I hope no one else needs to go through. I suggest staying away from this company and finding a more reputable - and caring - one to assist with your move.

Use Armstong Moving if you are HAPPY to have your much loved furniture arrive at its destination damaged, broken and boxes missing, l have moved twice across the Atlantic the first time with not even a broken cup, the second using Armstong and furniture broken beyond repair, fit only for firewood, ( the insurance covered, (after a fight), the cost of the furniture ) but the lack of response from my so called Move manager regarding the loss of 2 boxes was deafening by its silence although not voiced the implications were that l was lieing about the missing items being packed and loaded on the truck, l both watched it packed and put on the truck, it contained my husband's chef knives, the tools of his trade, and bone handled knives that belonged to my mother in law who passed away August 2021,are unreplaacable. I have never in my life felt so let down both by the unfulfilled promises of first class service and lack of response or acceptance of responsibility. The company appointed to deliver my things in the UK were embarrassed by the condition of my things and said they had never seen anything like it before.

I would never use this company again. They act just as a middle man and contract out all pieces of the move. The agent we spoke to for the estimate said repeatedly that they could handle everything and that they do this all the time, etc, etc. Well, they did not organize for our hot tub to be moved until the day before, then found that they could not do it on our move day. It took them 3 months to pick up the hot tub after our move, during which time, they increased the price drastically for them to move it, and another 4 months to deliver it, only to find that it had been hit by a fork lift and broken. Then they say that the value is not fully covered after all, when that is stated in the contract. They also missed the "delivery window" for the main delivery, meaning that we spent weeks in an empty home without anything but the basics we had with us because they refused to give us an actual date of arrival, just a window, which after they missed, they still refused to give and actual date. It was a terrible experience start to finish. With that being said, the actual moving crews that they contracted out to, that showed up on both ends, were polite and kind and careful, but the lack of organization and professionalism from the middle man company really made this a terrible experience.

They moved us from California to Toronto and broke 25,000CAD worth of furniture.
We have been waiting for over 3 months to get our claims submission processed.
If you have valuables I would avoid this moving company.

Allan and his crew were absolutely amazing! This was my first time ever using movers and if I ever move in the future, I’ll definitely be using Armstrong Moving! Allan was completely professional and his crew were super polite. The attention and care they demonstrated on my personal effects and my new home was much appreciated. The move went well and nothing was broken. We had a bad experience overall as the crew lead refused to take off his shoes in our house and refused to put on new shoe covers as well despite us being told ahead of time that the crew would comply with COVID guidelines. Upon lodging the complaint their QC manager contacted us - had it not been for the QC managers response and sensitivity to our concerns I would have probably rated the experience lower.

So much damage due to poor packing. They wrapped plastic dollar store items in 2 sheets of paper and left China ornaments unwrapped in a box of other precious items that were also unwrapped. They lost so many parts to flat pack furniture that we are unable to rebuild and refused to reimburse us. Disgusting service so avoid at all cost if you value your belongings.
