Rinaldi Homes

We entered into a contract with Rinaldi Homes in good faith, unfortunately we have had a horrible, extremely frustrating experience.
Currently, we are taking this builder to small claims court as are six of our neighbors ( yes, that is 6, with more planning on doing the same). This contractor has made no efforts to resolve the situation, emails, calls are not answered. I have been shocked that a builder would treat his customers with such a lack of respect. This should have been a simple situation to resolve (involves the return of $1000 deposit), instead the builder has decided to create a mountain of ill will by not returning our money. This has become a matter of principle as the $1000 deposit is our money, not Rinaldi's.

We have had multiple problems with this builder. They tend to tell you that everything is fine when you have problems. Our insulation was inadequate, heating duct not connected and basement very cold. To this day we have items such as cracked tiles, trim falling off etc essentially we have given up any hope of having these items fixed. In addition to these quality construction issues this builder has not returned a deposit that was paid in good faith. This has happened to many of our neighbors as well.

Water gushed from central vac outlet when first used. Another outlet was not wired. Attic insulation was not to specs. Seven months to build home and shower not ready on closing. No explanation, no follow up, no apology. After sales service very disappointing.

We sat down with this builder and gave him general ideas on what we would want our home to be like. He came up with a custom design for a 4,000 sq ft raised bungalow that met every one of our needs and was unique.

Construction was flawless and on schedule. There were no overruns.

Every employee, from the design, decorating and construction foreman were outstanding.

Negotiations re price and design were pleasurable.
