I bought a Yardworks 12A / 20-in Electric Snowthrower in January 2013 to use on my walkway and deck. I have used it around a dozen times so far and the drive belt has broken 4 times so far. Basically every 3rd or 4th time I've used it, I had to replace the belt. It takes almost an hour to change the belt each time. What's more, Sunrise Global Marketing considers this to be "normal" wear and tare, charging me over $20 each time to send a replacement. I am very disappointed with the low quality of the product but even more disappointed, even disgusted, with this company not honoring their warranty. Never again I will buy a product from this company.

I bought a 18V 5pc unit complete with 2 batteries with charger, weed trimmer, blower, 2 sized hedge trimmers just over 3 years ago from Canadian Tire. My batteries were no longer charging so I went to Canadian Tire looking to buy a replacement charger. This unit had been discontinued and they told me to contact Sunrise regarding replacing it. I called them and they were very courteous and shipped me a new charger for $15 plus $15 shipping fee within a week. When I tried this charger it overheated and so I called Sunrise and they offered my money back or a replacement charger free of charge. I opted for another charger but unfortunately this charger also overheated. I called Sunrise again and told them I would like to bring in the charger and batteries rather than have another one shipped. The staff were very helpful and tested the batteries and charger and said the problem was the batteries. They gave me another charger and 1 battery and offered me a second battery for $15. I bought it. I tried to charge new batteries but this charger did not work either. I went back with new batteries and third charger and again staff were very nice and had the tech test the batteries and charger. After a couple hours they said they thought they may have received a bad batch of chargers from the manufacturer so I could have my money back or take a brand new 40V weed trimmer with lithium battery and charger free of charge. I was very happy with this. I asked about being able to purchase a blower and hedge trimmer that could be used with same battery. They offered to sell me blower and hedge trimmer for $80 and have them shipped to me from U.S no shipping charges. I did end up having to pay U.S. Border fees of $25 but I ended up with a top of the line weed trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer for $150 so I would like to say thank you!
