Century Windows & Doors

I hired this company to install 3 new doors in my home. He was paid in full. After installation he made numerous promises to come back for final completion (cocking, alignment, balancing of sliding door, ect). He made several appointments of which he never showed up or called. Now he's forced me to take him to court for the unfinished work. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

A few years ago we required our front doors to be replaced. Century was recommended by my neighbour. Jack was very helpful in helping us choose the doors and we went with his recommendation and are more than pleased with the results. We have recently used Century again to replace our windows on the main floor and are again extremely pleased with the work performed by the installers and with the windows. I would not hesitate to recommned Jack and Century Windows to anyone.

Windows and sliding door installed in 2002 with 20 years warranty against seal failure. The seal failed on the sliding door and the pane is now full of condensation. Owner refuses to honour the warranty and wants me to pay $1600.00 for a new door.

Offered us the best quote for the best windows hands down. Installation was quick - installer is very good. Windows are fantastic - can't hear noise on the street anymore or cars going by at night. We were very pleased with the entire experience.

Seven years ago Century Windows installed 7 bedroom windows for us, so naturally we asked them back to do the rest of the windows in our home. Our experience with this company was great from the initial visit with Jack, to the professionalism and care taken by the installers, to the cleanup. There was absolutely no damage done anywhere including wallpaper and backsplash areas. Well done!

I have been planning to replace my windows for the past couple of years and had difficulty making up my mind about a company to use. Jack Royt from Century Windows was recommended to me by a neighbour and I personally went to the home to see the work done by this company. I was pleased with what I saw and contacted Century Windows. Jack was very accommodating and helpful during the time of deciding on the type of window. The installation work was done on time as promised - little extras were done at the end of the job which I appreciated. Everything was cleared from my home.

I would not recommend Century Windows and Doors to anyone - they CANNOT be trusted. Something went wrong with the measurement of one of the windows. When they came to install, one large window was too small by about a foot. That happens sometimes - I can understand that. It was HOW this situation was handled that was so very unprofessional. Neither Jack, the owner of Century, nor the installer, who took the measurements could find the paperwork for the original measurements and they argued about this, blaming each other, in front of me. Jack also made me, the customer, feel stupid by putting words in my mouth telling me I had ordered things, which I had not. He told me I had ordered wooden frames when what I had said and what we agreed on in the contract was that I wanted vinyl frames with no rosettes at the corner. What he, as a sales person, had neglected to tell me was that there are no vinyl frames with no rosettes - so I ended up having to take wooden frames that I now have to paint. As part of the contract Jack agreed in writing to remove and re-install the blinds. When I asked for this service Jack said he could not find the paperwork. By the time I pulled up the paperwork in my computer to show him, Jack, the owner, had driven away. If they had treated me decently I would have given them a good review despite the mix up with the measurements, however their extremely unprofessional, rude, disrespectful and suspicious behaviour leads me to give them a very poor review. Having been in customer service myself for 24 years I know what good service recovery is ... (I have been on the giving end many times) ... and this is DEFINITELY not the way a customer should be treated. I can therefore NOT recommend this company to anyone.

We had to replace kitchen window and dining room window and sliding balcony door. We live an in old condo building with floor to ceiling aluminum windows that were 40 years old so they lost air tightness and were bleeding heat during winter time. Sliding door was almost impossible to move despite constant WD-40.
Century Windows & Doors did a superb job - we got band new plastic windows, no air leaks, door's very easy to slide. Century's installation was very professional even though I live in a non-standard building and they had to go out of their way to dislodge and remove my old window frames. Overall I am very satisfied!
