Bought a car from one of his clients whose car was safetied from this place. Brought car to my mechanic to have something changed before driving it. Noticed that brakes were low. Asked my mechanic to have a look at the rear brakes. It is just to say that it passed safety. Called owner to tell him how displeased I am. He had told me that it might be just an ajustment. To have implied that it might need an adjustment? Could it have been done before passing safety?A few days afterward when my mechanic started to work on my car, he had told me that the rear drums needed to be replaced and also that the front calipers were seized. The only part good for those brakes were the front pads. No wonder that the brakes were low. What kind of mechanic that check brakes and don't see that and pass a safety check? Brakes were not tested and checked for they would have been fixed.And it was supposed to be safetied. Glad that I did not start driving the car right away. I could have been into an accident caused by those brakes. And if I would have, some people would be in big trouble. LAWSUIT AGAINST THIS GARAGE. At least I know where NOT to bring my car. In the future I won't touch a car safetied by this place. As a matter of fact, I would not even consider bringing my car here for repairs. Giving 1 star because can not give lower.
P.s. Went back to see owner and told him about brakes. Showed him my bill and parts. He ignored when I told him that the front brakes were seized and that the e-vap canister strap was broken. He just looked at rear brakes and said that they passed. The owner and mechanic did not even bother to test drive the car for the brakes before safetying it for they would have known that the front brakes were seized. Did not even looked under the car for they would have know that the e-vap strap was broken (which is part of the safety). RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. HE DID A FALSE SAFETY CHECK.
I solemly swear that the brakes on the car that was supposed to be safetied here were never even looked at. Rear brakes were full of guck and front brakes were seized. My mechanic had to use a blow torch to unseized them. Because I had job done elsewhere for the brakes, MTO cannot help me. So, get your car safetied elsewhere. The owners of this garage are very lucky that they did not get a hefty fine and/or lost their licence. Same thing about the mechanic(s). Don't get your brakes fixed here unless you have a life insurance and that you have a funeral plan.
They're worse than Sunday mechanics.Those who think that they are trustworthy are most likely one time customers
