This company would not submit permits or build the house in a timely manner, walked off the job when we had paid all valid invoices that we had received , on time, there fixed price contract they decided was not going to be fixed price, as surprize change orders they forced us to pay for over $9,000 as they claimed they used extra concrete then they walked off the job and would not work until we paid, then when we paid to get them to work again they did not come back to work on the house for many weeks after, they eventually put a false lien on our house for approx $102,000 with no invoice no warning, after 14 months since we had signed the contract we had a foundation that was done wrong and partially poorly framed house that was not even to lock up, as per there brochures and definitions of lock up they gave us and was on there website, as we could see it was not going to not be built as per budget and was not built in a timely manner and not built as the plans and they also refused to put the proper insulation in,. we signed the contract in 2017 and we had to finally finish this build ourselves and got occupancy in May of 2020 ( still have finishing to do) and have to pay for 2 places now because this is on an island and we have to live in it for 18 months I believe, and because we cannot afford to retire we have to keep our mobile so we can work on vancouver island, and the house is on Gabriola island, this company put us in a horrible position , Once we signed there contract they treated us horribly accused us of delays , Once we signed with them we were all of a sudden a nobody they would not follow plans or the contract. and most of the time they had one framer and a young helper this company has cost us our savings, our retirement and our health, our only hope is they will be held accountable for what they have done to us our families and our health, This was a horrible horrible experience no one should ever go through what we went through with them. Just remember a contract means nothing unless you have thousands of dollars to enforce it .
