Found Landecks using Homestars and we were extremely pleased with the final results. Darren promised us the best quote and sure enough he delivered and the new stone patio he and his team built looks stunning. All of our neighbours are now asking where we got it done and co-workers are calling them to get their patios done. Darren and his wife Kathleen are so easy to deal with and so knowledgable and go above and beyond for the customer. The job was done on time and it was clean and the crew was great with our young son which meant a lot as well. I would not hesitate to recommend Landecks as they offer amazing quality and impeccable design and you will not find a better calue for your landscaping dollar.

We could not be happier with the work that Darren and his team designed and built for our family. We had heard very good things about Landecks and Darren, but they still exceeded our expectations! The patio, stairs, and entrance they built are beautiful, well built, and even better than we hoped. The team arrived on time every day, cleaned up before they left, and were always courteous to our family; particularly our children. Darren and the Landecks team have built us a stone patio that our family will enjoy for years and years to come! We could not recommend them any more!

Completely flagstone on front landing and stairs, with pavers on both sides of driveway and small area in front of the the stairs. Would highly recommend.

We hired Landecks this spring to design and execute our backyard landscaping plans. We met with several (I think 5) other landscape companies before retaining Landecks and after working with Darren, our choice was very clear. He was extremely responsive and attentive and struck the right balance between offering suggestions while not trying to impose his views over ours. He was very attentive to what we were looking for in a plan but didn't just draw up what we described; he offered suggestions and ideas that greatly improved the overall design. He was a pleasure to work with.

When it came to execution, the Landecks team was outstanding. They were extremely professional and hardworking and very eager to please. The patio they laid is simply beautiful and the retaining wall is stunning.

Landecks provided exceptional landscaping service, and totally exceed my expectations.
I did not hire a professional landscape designer to design my front yard, but I have a vision and drew up a sketch plan, however it is not in scale and ‘misleading’. Out of 5 landscapers that I have talked to, Darren is the only one told me that I can’t have steps as there is not enough slope and it is not safe to have a shallow step. When I questioned him after a month, he offered to come back on site again and still told me building a step would not work for my front porch. I went to a paver/stone supplier to check for references, Darren is highly recommended.
After two long months of waiting, I finally have my dream front walkway and garden built! Darren and his team are hard working, courteous, professional and did a fantastic job. Darren is very organized and efficient, he was on site throughout the entire project and is very hands-on, he operates that bobcat and other types of machines (not sure of their names) like a surgeon with a knife. Darren is also a perfectionist, every rock, every stone, every plant has to be at right location with right angle, and yeah, he has good taste for design. His recommendation on stone color, paver layouts etc. really made the difference. He combines function, style and quality together and with his experience and expertise, the final project is a showpiece. My husband was so pleased with the team and asked me not to try to save money by doing the planting ourselves (surprise to me). So we had the team did everything. Darren and his team did a lot of the little extra work for us without any complains or charging us.
At the end of 4 days, my anxiety and worry turned to over joy and satisfaction. Thanks to Darren and his team!

A professional crew - outstanding workmanship!
Right from the start, Darren understood what we had in mind. Based on his experience, Darren offered the best design options that would harmonize with the environmental challenges, as well as please us and, ultimately, serve our purpose. The work was on time, and well within budget. And, in spite of a harsh climate, the workmanship remains 'rock' solid. No follow-up necessary. We'll be working with Darren and his team again this spring. We so enjoy our entrance way and backyard patio!

My wife wanted to revamp the front gardens before we put out house up
for sale last year. I had met Darren on another job and was very impressed with his work. I had him come out to meet my wife so she could go over her ideas with him. Darren listened to her ideas and then offered a few ideas of his own. The next thing I knew they had a
plan. Darren and the crew showed up when they said they would and completed the garden renovation to my wife's satisfaction. The work
area was left clean and tidy. I'm sure the work Darren did to the front of our house helped in the sale.

At the end of the summer in 2010, the wife and I decided we needed to replace our rotting deck, and make the backyard a bit more friendly to our 2 year old. We contacted a handful of landscaping companies, including Darren at Landecks, to discuss the various options. Darren suggested replacing our rotting deck with an interlock patio, so we decided to go with that option. He was absolutely professional, offered no pressure during the quote/negotiation period, and was super friendly and accomodating to our busy schedule. Oh, and he had the best quote by a MILE.

Darren and his crew showed up promptly, and early, on the day that he said they would, and did an amazing job ripping out our old backyard. My neighbour, who is retired, said she didn't see them slacking off for one minute the whole time they were on the job. And Darren even chainsawed off a worrisome branch from her big tree in the front yard, no charge.

The work was done in a timely and efficient manner, and we have NO complaints about Darren's work. He also subcontracted out a driveway company to redo our driveway, and a carpenter to build a new gate into our back yard. The new gate looks AMAZING, as does the new driveway, although there was some scheduling issues with the driveway guys, which was no fault of Darren's (and he sorted it out without any input required on my part).

In short, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Darren to anybody looking to get landscaping work done. In fact, I'm bringing him back in the spring to re-sod the remaining sections of lawn that I have yet to replace, as well as doing some plantings for me. I have nothing but great things to say about Darren or his work!

We recently had the landscaping at the front and side of our home completed by Landecks. This has been by far the best experience we have ever had with any contractor. My old wooden deck was needing replacement and I decided to use pavers to create a patio. I saw some reviews for Landecks and Darren followed up immediately and provided me with an estimate. I am so glad I chose Landecks for the work. Darren quickly removed the old deck. He was very professional and knew what he was doing in terms of landscaping and ensuring that the property was graded. He did an amazing job and many of my neighbors have been impressed with the results as well. He came in, did the job efficiently with a good number of employees and state of the art equipment.
