Bedrock Stone & Paving Inc

This is a delayed review. Bedrock Stone and Paving was very quick to respond to an estimate request in Apr. 2007. After a review of other contractors, we decided to work with Bedrock, signed the contract at teh end of Apr. 2007 and provide a deposit. Bedrock advised that the work would be completed in approximately 5 weeks. We were very patient and did not start following up until July. At that point, we started calling every week until the middle of September and we were always told the job would be completed "next week" which never happened. In the middle of September, we provided Bedrock with a formalized letter stating that they were in breach of contract and requested our deposit back. Upon receipt of this letter and request for the return of deposit, Bedrock would not longer respond to any of our communication. I would never deal with this company or recommend them...they are quick to take your deposit and run.

Contracted this company for front walk and driveway Aug.2009 now Nov.26.2009 and nothing done. Called and talked to Sebastian the salesman...nothing but excuses or delays. I want the work done, but wish I saw the review on this company sooner.
I gave a large deposit since I was serious about the work.

I hired this company last summer to do some interlock work. As other people have described, they never showed up to do the work despite receiving a deposit.

BE WARNED, this company has changed its name to Element Stone and Paving. Different name, same scam. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE

BEDROCK STONE AND PAVING has out done themselves with mine and my daughters homes. Their work in oakville has just attracted a director of a local homeshow which has now nominated our stone work as top 3. We will recieve a $5000 free home upgrade because of this. I would like to thank bedrock by posting this ad and offering mine and my daughters home as refrences to anyone who would like to see by responding. Thanks to our representative Sebastian who design was carried out by 20 of most fastest most effecient workmanship i saw, This would not of been possible without them. They were quick and clean up all the mess. They were completed my front and back in 2 days with over 20 men working like bees. after doing some research i found out that just last summer they did over 150 jobs in one season just in oakville. which explains why they were late, but it was worth the wait.

Very unsatisfied with this company. Never completed the clean up they promised us they would come back and do. The stonework had settled by the next summer and they still would not return to fix the problem. We have called for2 years in a row, still no reply from the company.
We would never recommend Bedrock to anyone under any circumstances!
Don't make the same mistake we did.

Watch out for this company Bedrock Stone & Paving Inc. from Ontario, Mississauga. I hired this company to deliver driveway extension & porch resurfacing with interlocking stones. They told me a beautifull stories and ‘how amazing they are’, taken my deposit money and then disappear from the horizon. Nobody returned my calls, nobody cared about my complaints and nobody was at my side to fulfill a signed contract. I have asked them to return my money deposit, but I did not get it back until now.

If you appreciate your time and money, do not even think to hire such a bad company.

P.S.: I have filled out complaint in the Ontario Consumer Protection department and with their help the deposit was returned to me in full within 1 month period.

Watch out for this company. They take your money eagerly and give you a start date which they will not stick to and it might be weeks or months before they get started if they start at all. Was very unhappy with customer service, the work itself seems ok but not perfect!
