We bought our first home and it was in desperate need of a main bathroom makeover. As avid watchers of the HGTV, we were quite aware of the trauma that some homeowners have experienced as a result of dodgy contractors, so when we had to find one for ourselves, we knew we really had to do our research. We had heard about HomeStars.com through a friend and thought that would be a great place to start our search. We only considered contractors that had at least a 9/10 rating and had more than 5 reviews. Jason was one that fit these criteria. We called quite a number of different places and after a few conversations with a few different people, we decided that we were just going to cross our fingers and hope that everything goes well with Jason.
We are so THRILLED that we did! JASON IS FANTASTIC! The project went over without a hitch and our bathroom looks absolutely AMAZING! It's exactly how we envisioned it to look!
We gave Jason a budget and he stayed right within it. He was extremely friendly, funny, helpful, knowledgeable, hard-working, efficient, intelligent; the list could go on and on. He had a great design sense which opened up our minds to other concepts and after going with one of his ideas, we were so ever glad that we did!
We cannot say enough good things about Jason and his work. We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a solid, hard-working, thorough contractor and we plan to use his services again in the future.
Thanks again Jason! We have been reassured that there are great contractors out there! No need to call Mike Holmes in! :)

The first home...
So many emotions attached to an assembly of wood, wires and pipes. This is why all of us love those HGTV shows! I'm an avid fan of them too.
Unlike the TV crews, that bring the homeowner in for the big reveal, I have the unique pleasure and opportunity to meet with you, to ask for your opinions, to offer you our own suggestions and to have you see what eventually will be covered by drywall and tile.Kristine and Rob, you took the time to see inside the walls of your new home...to see the insulation before and after we upgraded it, to see the existing plumbing that we improved, and even the numerous lines drawn on the floor as we calculated the best floor tile layout.
So many emotions...
For you, the new proud owners as you settle into your first home and make it your own.
For us, too, to assemble the wood, wires, and pipes.
It is a labour of love.
It's the great contractors that take pride in their work, ones that have taken the years of apprenticeship to learn ancient craftsmanship and skills, and blend these with modern methods, materials and designs.
I agree, there are still many great contractors out there. I've met and have worked alongside many of them.I thank you for your many kind words, and for inviting us into your first home.
