I was having problems with my home humidifier so I called A Plus Quality Inc. to take a look. They told me the humidifier I had was not suitable for our home. They told me that a unit they supply is more than sufficient for our home.
First Red Flag: The person I made the service appointment with cancelled twice and was impossible to get a hold of if he wasn't trying to get a hold of you.
Second Red Flag: The service man missed our booking time and asked to come later that afternoon.
By this time I probably should have cancelled but I was so desperate to get humidity in our home for my baby that I just wanted the thing fixed. The serviceman told me that he would waive the $100 assessment fee if i bought their $750 humidifier. I agreed.
They came in another day while my wife was staying home from work. They installed the humidifier and was SUPPOSED to install a digital controller to set the humidity levels. Instead, they left the old Honeywell controller (non digital) and told my wife that would work. Well, it does not and it's like pulling teeth to get a hold of anyone that will do anything about this. I am desperately trying to get this fixed as it's 23% humidity in our house and my son is coughing a lot at home. His eczema is acting up terribly so I just need this fixed. Worst waste of $750 ever. Wondering if A Plus will every get this thing fixed.
