Basement Flooded after 25000 spent on City Wide Group.
I contacted City Wide Group to waterproof my basement for 25000 in July of 2022
In July of 2024 my basement flooded significantly. My basement never flooded before city wide group worked on it. I only had minor wetness/dampness. I had to leave work purchase a bucket of hydraulic cement and a wet dry vacuum to stop water from over flowing into the other part of the basement.
A foreman came out. I showed him the videos of water gushing through my foundation wall and 1/2 in deep water over approximately 200sq. ft. Peter said they can do the repairs in 4-5hours and and that it would take several weeks before they could start because they were in there peak season. I said this would be fine.
Called for an appointment for repairs to begin and receptionist told me they wanted to send the estimator out.
The estimator told me they didnt want to rush any work. He prescribed a series of steps to complete the repair work. A water test, then to dig where the drain came into the house, then under the interior foundation wall.
After 7 weeks Peter came back and sprayed water at my fountain wall for 30 minutes and left.
I contacted reception today and they said that my basement flooding was not due to a leak and that I would have to get another estimate and pay for any more work.
City Wide Group are not fulfilling their contract or honouring their.
The only thing their lifetime warranty is for us so they can extract more money out of you.
