Reliable Home Comfort

We had a problem with our 10 year old water heater. Rob came by and took care of it in no time. The price was extremely reasonable. Rob was very friendly. I had a number of questions about the water heater, my furnace and my humidifier. He answered all my questions and gave great advice. I would not hesitate to use him again.

My furnace broke down in November. I called Reliable home comfort and Darryl from Whitby office came the same day and gave me the quote for the furnace.
The quote was competitive and he told me that he will be able to install the furnace the very next day.

I decided to go with Reliable home comfort, because of the time issue as all other quotes I received were almost the same but installation time was after a week.

The very next day the furnace was installed and I was happy with the service.

Back in 2014 we had Reliable install a brand new Goodman high efficiency furnace. All responses from the company during this process from quote to completion were prompt and pleasant. We were extremely pleased by their quick and efficient service during this process. I would give them 10/10 for this installation. --------note: Both last year and this year we had problems getting a response (despite multiple attempts) from Reliable regarding booking a furnace maintenance visit. UPDATE: Darryl has now called, apologized and has set up the maintenance appointment.

Our furnace broke down over the Christmas holidays when we were experiencing sub -20 degrees weather. On New Years day we had no heat. I called Darryl on January 2nd and he promptly returned my call and was in my home assessing the situation within a couple of hours. I was impressed that he immediately could see what the issue was and how to solve it. Later that same evening he sent me a quote. Another supplier gave me a solution that was not sustainable and was clear to me that I would have the same issue within a few years.

We decided to go with Darryl who said it would take a day and a half and that his crew would be there the next morning and they were as promised. Darrin, the technician removed the old system and installed the new one. He worked very diligently to make sure the system was set up properly. He had to come back to fix a glitch and came when he said he would and stayed to make sure that his fix solved the glitch.

I was very impressed by the teams professionalism, technical knowledge and discipline to get the job done properly. I heartily recommend them.

Building out my smart home and needed a Nest 3rd Gen. thermostat installed in a new location with a 6 wire setup. Install went smoothly and Darren the technician was knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Cleaned up drywall dust and debris after drilling new hole for wiring in the new location and walked me through the setup of the Nest thermostat, it's key features and integration into the existing Nest Protect smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Thank you for your professionalism and the time taken to ensure I was happy with the work and functioning of the new unit.

It was the weekend over the Christmas holidays when we had a gas leak caused by a faulty "no to code" installation of natural gas connection to my gas stove. I shut off the gas and then called up a number of companies. Situation was urgent as temps were falling to -20 and we were now without heat. Reliable was the first to respond - so I went with them. Darren was prompt and professional. He repaired the problem and brought the installation to code.

During the coldest winter in 25 years these guys came to our rescue when our old furnace kicked out! They were really responsive (fast) and installed a great new furnace at a reasonable price. No hard sells just solid advice do we could make a decision. Thx to Jimmy and Rob!!!

Our furnace started to work properly. Rob provided a service call to see if he could fix the problem. After deciding that a fix may not provide long-term value, he provided an excellent price for a new furnace to replace our 15-year-old unit. The installation was seamless - Jamie was friendly, worked efficiently and was diligent in making sure we were good to do. I'd highly recommend Reliable.

Dave had been servicing my old furnace for the past 3 years. He managed to keep it running when it broke down on a couple of occasions but we knew it would have to be replaced soon. The day finally came when Dave could not fix the furnace so a new one was purchased from Reliable.

When the installer Darren arrived he looked at my basement and explained how a new venting system had to be installed to comply with the building code. It would not be an easy task due to the location of the furnace and the unusual basement foundation in my 125 year old home.

The only way to properly install the vent was to crawl through a 1-2 foot high crawl space with a dirt floor, cobwebs, bugs etc. I would never expect or think anybody would ever go into the crawl space.

Ricky, the apprentice happily volunteered to squeeze into the crawl space drilled a hole into the foundation and installed the vent. Without Ricky the furnace would not have been installed.

Darren and Ricky completed a very difficult job and make sure everything is done properly and to code. They take pride in their work and I am very happy to have a warm house again.

Reliable a Home Comfort is an excellent company and I highly recommend them.

Noticed a small issue with my invoice after the work was completed. I got in contact with Dave and he quickly resolved the problem, with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. Not every job runs 100% smoothly but it's how the issue is fixed that differentiates the good from the bad. Thank you Dave for the service, we'll definitely see you again next year.
