Addition and complete renovation of 1870s home
An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
After meeting with over a dozen contractors, I hired Cornerbrook Construction to renovate and add onto my existing 1870's laneway house, which was in disrepair. The site condition was very challenging; as well the structure of the house was anything but conventional. Throughout the build they kept an open mind, as well brought forward creative solutions to the many challenges we faced along the way. They approached the project with respect for the heritage of the house, enthusiasm, confidence by providing a broad skill-set. Their business background and trade knowledge meant their quotations were accurate and reasonable. Cornerbrook also brought an impressive collection of sub trades to the project who produced very high quality work at competitive prices. Their overall demeanor, cleanliness and general good nature made for a positive experience. My Architecture office will continue to collaborate with them in the future.
