Replacing the Moen faucet pop-up plug in bathroom pedestsal sink
I cannot fairly say that the plumber's (Larry) service exceeded my expectations because my expectations from Safari Plumbing were very high to start with. We had extremely good service provided from Safari Plumbing a few years ago (clogged kitchen sink drain), gotten the "royal treatment" and had been very impressed and agreed with everything that the company advertises. The only thing I regret this time was not calling David Sparling (owner) a few days earlier. I wasted my time looking for the part online because my husband was sure that he could install it himself - I found the part (no charge because of warranty) and my husband picked it up. He spent a few hours trying to figure out how to work at the back of a pedestal sink in a small bathroom. When I feared and he agreed that he would probably ruin the expensive sink & faucet by trying to lift the sink off its base, I had a flash inspiration! Why had we not called Safari Plumbing? My call for help was answered the same night (by the owner no less)and Larry showed up the next day rolling out the red carpet, putting on his slippers, assessing the situation and giving us a very simple explanation of what he could do and providing us with an estimate! He was very professional without being condescending (as some pros sometimes are with clients). He got the job done with a minimum of fuss and explained what he was doing. Then he took time to ascertain that everything else was alright (had been done the previous visit). He left as clean as he had come in (very clean and well dressed) and left the bathroom and entourage spotless also . I think we have learned something from this second experience - don't waste your time and stress yourself trying to fix it yourself - phone Safari Plumbing first. By the way, had we done that, we would have been provided with the correct part free of charge and it would have cost less in labour time... you see, we had misjudged which piece was broken and been provided with the wrong part which meant using one piece to fit in the old part, etc. If these two experiences have made us wiser, it was money well spent! Oh yes, as with the previous time, David Sparling called to verify that we were completely satisfied and followed up with a Thank You card from Safari Plumbing.
