Integrity Masonry

I have a two car garage which has a central pillar between the two garage doors. This pillar was damaged before I bought my house years ago and last year I noticed additional damage to the exterior brick and mortar and the interior concrete base of that pillar. I had also decided to get some new garage doors to replace my original doors, but I needed to get the pillar repaired first.

I did a lot of research on masonry and contracting companies that might be able to complete this work, and after a lot of frustration in not being able to find a trustworthy and skilled company to do these repairs, I finally contacted Integrity Masonry and they were like a breath of fresh air.

Nick came and saw the work that needed to be done and he took the time to answer all my questions. It was clear to me that he knew what he was talking about when it came to masonry. At that point, it was late in the masonry season in 2021, so I had to book the work for early the next Spring, but it was definitely worth the wait.

(Red Seal Mason) Tessa led a team that completed the work at my place. She explained all the work that was being done and she completed the primary work herself, while also closely supervising the other masons / workers on her team. She also came back later, after I had my new garage doors installed, to touch up some of the parging. Tessa and her team were complete professionals and I fully recommend Integrity Masonry.

We are completely satisfied with all the work that they did (rebuilding my garage pillar's masonry, re-pointing the mortar and replacing several bricks elsewhere on my garage's exterior, re-doing some of my parging and installing a new limestone threshold for our front door).

When I hire contractors two things are important to me: are they qualified to do the work professionally and do I trust them. Integrity Masonry checked both boxes for me.

Integrity Masonry did an excellent job installing our limestone fireplace. Tessa was so professional and easy to communicate with for the quote and the installation. Her and Conner did a beautiful job installing it and left our site spotless. I would highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Integrity Masonry. I had some brick and door sill repairs done as a result of a poorly installed brick patio by a previous homeowner which resulted in water damage and breaking if the bricks all under the door and along the patio. The quote and work plan process was easy and straightforward. Nick explained the required work program and provided a clear quote. The mason team of Tessa and Leona were fantastic. They explained what the work plan was for each for each morning and reviewed the completed work with me at the end of each day. They kept their work area clean and answered any questions I had clearly. As a female engineer, it was a treat to have a female team. I would recommend this company to anyone, including my very picky mother.

We can highly recommend Nick and his crew at Integrity Masonry for several reasons: 1) they are great to work with because they kept us informed. Nick sent me daily emails early each morning to update me as the work progressed. If the work was going to be shut down due to weather, I was informed immediately by Nick or one of his crew. I also liked the fact that Nick visited our work site most mornings and ensured that if I had any questions, they were answered, 2) they persevered to solve difficult problems. The restoration of the brickwork at our 100+ year old house required the difficult task of setting up scaffolding two stories high in a 36 inch wide alleyway between our house and that of our neighbours. Despite taking more days and more scaffolding materials than expected, there was never any doubt spoken that they would not succeed, 3) despite the additional time and materials used, the final cost was the price on the original estimate and 4) finally, the quality of the workmanship fulfilled all of the requirements specified in the original quote.

We contacted Integrity Masonry after doing much research to find a company that we thought we would be satisfied with. Nick (the owner) came out and not only gave us an estimate, he had some thoughts on how to make up for the bricks that would be missing after the rebuild (can't find our kind of brick anymore). He had a great idea. We had to wait a while to get the work done which was okay with us (they were booked much in advance). It was well worth the wait. The workers were great. They answered all our questions, worked professionally and respected our property (great clean up). The workers also communicated with us very well by letting us know what was going on, what they were doing next... They were also very respectful of each other which was great to see. Nick was also very prompt in responding to phone calls and emails. The chimney looks fantastic and a month later, we are still very much satisfied with the work done by Integrity Masonry. We would have no hesitation hiring them again.

A great experience with this company, who solved a longstanding water entry issue by identifying and rectifying problems with the membrane, that is supposed to be between the foundation and the brick, at the sill plate. Nick, the owner, visited me three times before we had a contract, to ensure that all my questions were answered satisfactorily. During the project he came to the site at least once a day. However, I was in good hands with Tessa and Leona, the crew who did the majority of the work. Both of these women are knowledgeable, professional, easy to deal with and enthusiastic about their careers. They ensured that I was briefed on what they discovered during prep and at each step of the repair and restoration. Under a quickly erected tarp structure, they even worked through that heavy rainstorm that we experienced on Wednesday. The resulting work is top notch, and they left my yard, deck and shed neat and tidy. I will use Integrity Masonry again, should I require more brick work to be done.

We had an old window opening that was blocked off by a wooden board by previous owner and used for electrical and venting. After we rerouted those two issues we decided to close off the opening.

Sean & Tristan layed the bricks and mortar, Tessa & Leona the parging a few days later.

We needed some work done on our brick chimney, involving reducing and capping it as part of a gas fireplace conversion project. Integrity Masonry was able to accommodate our timelines which were dependent on a number of other activities, and the crew that came were both very professional and pleasant. They paid particular attention to details and worked delicately where necessary despite the power tools and heavy materials involved. They also cleaned up nicely once the work was complete. We were very satisfied with their work overall, as well as the reasonable price.

Had Nick remove the brick window sills and replace with stone because water was getting behind the brick and bricks were showing signs of starting to crumble.
Nick was responsive to provide the quote and we corresponded by email to review options, prices, etc. Once we agreed upon the work and price they came out within a week to do the work. I didn't shop around for multiple quotes. I went with integrity based on these reviews and my assessment of Nick's character. He didn't let me down. The job went much faster than anticipated so the final price was adjusted down a little to reflect that. I appreciated that. The only negative aspect was the masons who used the hose in my garage flooded the floor where I had some boxes which in turn for wet. There was no permanent damage to anything but I mentioned it to Nick anyways who took responsibility and said it was something he would talk to his staff about. Overall I'm very happy with the work and would certainly hire integrity masonry again.
