Tuck pointing around the house; back chimney taken down halfway and capped.

A good company where the workers try their best to achieve the results that make their customer happy. I am happy with the final result and appreciate the integrity of each worker!

Brick repair

I can't speak highly enough of Red Robin Masonry. They were very efficient and communicative, organized and on time. From start to finish the process was explained in detail and all my questions patiently answered. They started the work on the day it had been scheduled a month before and the first crew that worked on my house, Ismail and Vu-Shane, were super friendly, kind, professional, and patient with an annoying neighbour. I couldn't ask for a better crew! Unfortunately they discovered a structural problem on the third floor of my house, but this was addressed with the same professional competence a couple weeks later. The second crew, with Jay (I didn't get the second man's name), was also wonderful - very polite, attentive to detail, and willing to go the extra mile. They gave advice when I asked, and most importantly, did a beautiful job with the brick and mortar replacement. The colour match is superb. Both crews cleaned up at the end of each day. I'm extremely pleased with their meticulous work, and grateful to Anna in the office for her quick responses. A terrific company all around.

3 day project took 2 months 7 days + 3 returns. Never again

I find Red Robin here, on homestars. They had great reviews so I decided to hire them. I wanted to have a chimney removed and capped and the numerous broken and cracked bricks replaced, one brick in a widow still on the main floor, an old dryer vent frilled in (4 bricks), and a bunch of bricks on my exterior stairs replaced, as they were spalling.
Job started June 5th and was "completed" (notice the quotes) on June 11th. After inspecting part of the work on June 12th I noticed that there were several bricks, that were clearly damaged and should have been replaced under the contract. I sent an email to Red Robin, then I sent another informing them that the obviously damage bricks were missed and needed to be replaced. On June 13th I received a reply informing me that they will have a crew back to my house on June 17th to replace the bricks that were missed. Crew arrived on June 17th, they started and then it began to rain, so they packed up and left. The problem here is that they never informed the "managers" that they didn't compete the work. I contacted the company again to see what the issue was. I was told that a crew would return on July 6th to replace the bricks that the crew that came to replace the bricks missed the first time... So this will be the third time they've had to come back.
July 6th comes, crew shows up, does some work and leaves.. I go out to inspect the work and.... Low and behold, they STILL didn't replace all the bricks that needed to be replaced. On top of this, I noticed several bricks were missed along the exterior stairs.
I sent more emails informing them that what is going on is utterly ridiculous and that the job needs to be completed as the contract states. Well I was informed that the work would have to be completed at a later date because their crews were all scheduled, which I found to be completely unprofessional as it's already been a month for a 3 day job.
After the phone call I received on July 8th or 9th starting crews were booked I never heard back from them until August 13th, this is now well over 2 months from the project start. This time I marked the bricks that needed to be replaced. Crew replaced the bricks.
At this point there were still bricks missed but I had had enough and wanted to be done with the company.
I haven't even mentioned the mortar that was on my siding, window and in the chimney bricks...
Needless to say I am not even remotely impressed with the behavior of the company. I found the work ethic and professionalism to be completely substandard. I would not hire them again, not would I recommend them to anyone.
I would have been happier with the whole situation if they had at least offered some small compensation for the complete inconvenience the job entailed.

Masonry Work

Over the years living in Toronto I've been happy to provide reviews. This time I'm honoured to provide Red Robin Masonry with top stars all around. Our 100+ year old bungalow needed tuck pointing on one exterior wall. The job also required creative problem solving due to water seeping in at the top of a basement window. After John provided an estimate, we were booked quickly for the following week. Jay along with his fellow craftsman did an amazing job! The way Jay looked at a problem reminded me of MacGyver! He was determined to ensure no water would penetrate the extra layer of heavy plastic layered between the wooden slats and the new bricks. The heavy rainfall this afternoon kept us constantly checking the basement window. Fingers crossed,
the window ledge was bone dry. Thanks also to Anna who was the most efficient office staff ever! After processing our invoice, she sent a receipt within 15 minutes. Her politeness and cheerfulness were very refreshing. Thanks again Red Robin. It's a pleasure to recommend you to family and friends. Last but not least, the quote and the final cost were bang on.

Tuck Pointing

We needed to filling some holes in the mortar in our 100 year old house. The work spanned two stories and was on two sides of the house. The two person crew arrived on time and was considerate and cleaned up after the work. It looks create and was easy to book and communication was clear with their office.

Saved us after a bad situation

Red Robin was amazing, they came and quoted quickly and reasonably. They offered options and understood our situation. A few weeks earlier we were victims of a horrible group of people that left our chimney in ruins (literally a pile of bricks on the ground with a hole in our wall).

Red Robins workers were tidy, professional, punctual and friendly.

It was beautifully done and you could tell the workers took pride in their work.

chimney rebuild

Seamless process. No overselling. Certainly competent. This is our second job with Red Robin. Clearly a professional company. Not a lot of communication with the workers - we assumed (and were correct) the job was complete when the scaffolding was gone. Thank you for the completion pictures.
