Alex and his crew are very reasonably priced. They removed a birch tree and stump . They worked quickly and removed any sign that there had been a tree there. I would highly recommend them. Don't let the low price fool you . Very reliable and they do excellent work.L

Weve been working with Alex Pol for about 6 years now. It first started with asking him his opinion on trimming the older maples on our property (both front and back). Alex recommended trimming those in the back and removing the very large one in the front yard based on how they were looking, their age, and their health condition. We then worked with Alex to find a replacement tree for the front yard. We purchased an Autumn Fantasy maple he recommended and are very happy with his choice.
In 2022, we continued working with Alex on selecting trees and shrubs for the small back yard. Alex always listened to our ideas of what we were looking to do and patiently suggested options for trees and shrubs that would not only look attractive but thrive in the way the back yard was sized, oriented, its sun / shade exposure during the day, and taking into account the larger trees on both sides of our property. We asked a lot of questions and Alex answered all of them promptly with information that would allow us to make the best decisions that we could realizing that there were limitations on what we could and couldnt do.
In 2023, we then continued to work with Alex on the front yard bed which was literally a blank slate. Alex listened to what we were looking for and he came up with a master plan for the front bed of what we wanted. He selected trees and shrubs in heights, quantities, textures, and colours that checked off all the boxes. We are continually amazed as to how our front and back yards have been transformed from what they were to what they currently are.
Alex and his team are excellent and easy to deal with, worked quickly and diligently cleaned up after their work. We would highly recommend Alex without any reservation for any tree and shrub landscape work that you are considering to do.

Alex and his crew came to our home and removed branches from trees over our pool. They did an awesome job. The limbs where safely removed and disposed of and the whole area left totally clean.

I contacted Alex for a quote. He got back to me very quickly, came and viewed the site and we agreed on the job. He showed up earlier than expected as he was in the area, so the job was completed well ahead of schedule.

Since 2015 our condominium corporation, which has 95 townhouses, has employed Alex Pol Landscaping Services to address the replacement of our ash trees in our common areas. Alex is most co-operative and reasonable in his management of this large project. His prices are competitive. He is always there to supervise his employees and leaves the areas clean and tidy. On a personal level, he is personable, pleasant, polite, diligent and conscientious. Whenever we ask him to consult about the trees, he is always most willing. We would certainly employ him again at any time and we highly recommend his services.

In Aug 2016 we were hit by a micro burst. During the storm we lost 3 trees. A 65 year old pine tree was lifting the root ball and heading for the house, a 61 foot walnut was snapped off and laying in the yard and the worst was a 6'5" diameter maple tree that dropped a 2' dia branch in the neighbours yard and an equally big branch onto our shed. Alex Pol was recommended by a neighbour and we had no time to shop and very few options. I called Alex on the Thursday before the long weekend, he performed a site inspection that afternoon. I agreed to go forward and Alex rearranged his scheduled work to manage out emergent job. He arrived on the Friday with extra staff and the required equipment. The first priority was to clear a path to the suspended maple branch. He and his team worked carefully to avoid any further damage to the shed roof. He then moved onto the pine tree and brought it to the ground without any damage.
To summarize, we had an emergent job with no time, few options and far to large for us to manage. Alex and crew made our site safe, worked with us to manage cost and risk. All of this was competed in a timely manner and at a good cost. He treated us very well, there was no additional damage and the costs were extremely fair. We as home owners were in a tough spot.

We retained Alex Pol to complete our backyard landscaping which included a large interlocking stone patio. The workmanship was impeccable and Alex personally took us to a local nursery and assisted us in picking out the appropriate bushes, trees and shrubs that have all combined to create a beautiful backyard. Alex is very reliable and has come by the house on more than one occasion to simply give advice and tips on the care of our trees and shrubs. I am extremely pleased with the Alex Pol tree service. We have a back yard encompassed by many coniferous trees, mostly cedars. Alex and his team arrive, do an amazing trim job and clean up the ground extreme well. The trees are perfectly shaped and full (no holes). As the trees are quite mature they overhang on our neighbours property. We permission they have always trimmed the trees on the back as well which has made for good neighbour relations. His workers jump the fence and clean up the neighbours yard as well. We frequently entertain large groups in the back patio and frequently entertain rather large groups in our back yard and consistently receive positive comments and some of our guests have had Pol TS do work for them.
The front of our property has a tall beech tree which they maintain well. The Little Leaf Lyndon is a large and nuisance tree but short of cutting it down they have maintained it very well.
Pol tree service have cared for our trees for a number of years and now show up when it is necessary to trim the trees. They know when one of our larger gatherings is and are always here well before our guests arrive.
