Mr Sandless

Based on recommendation from our carpet provider we contacted Mr. Sandless and had our hardwood floors refinished/rescreened. Although initially satisfied we noted debris throughout which we contacted the Company about. We also have white dots the size of a dime or quarter that appeared after 10 days. We contacted the Company by telephone to come out which they agreed. Mr. Sandless indicated on the telephone that the dots happen and can easily be repaired. I also noted the debris such as hair, a shred of paper, a blob (see pictures there are more) and indicated we would like to have them for long enough to fix other issues. I did not hear from them again until posted a negative review on Homestars. Mr. Sandless has indicated they do not warranty chipping and adhesion although ours is an issue of workmanship. The decision is not a $1500 one to recoat your floors as we now have to decide whether to replace our hardwood or find another refinishing company that can repair the damage. A regrettable and costly choice for us don't make the same mistake. We have been advised that the process can be reversed but the Company has declined to remediate nor has a representative bothered to attend our home and physically look at the issues pointed out on the telephone.

Overall we had a great service, they came to do our wood floor and came back to touch up and it looks really nice. Thanks to Ellie and Jake you are awesome. Defenetly recomend their services.

We had mr sandless come in and do our living room floor. They restored the life of our floor that we thought would have to be pulled up and relayed. Perfect colour matching and we were able to walk on the floor right away after they were finished. Jake was very professional and worked hard to get the job done in one day. We invited John to give us a quote and his quote was perfectly in-line with the 2 others we received. We chose Mr. Sandless over the other 2 based on our schedule and their availability. John, Ellie, and their son were very professional, did exactly what they promised, punctual, offered great advice, and left us with beautiful refinished fir floors despite the age and condition of the floors we presented to them. I would definitely call on them again and will refer them to my friends or neighbours. Thank you Mr. Sandless for making this work painless!

I made the mistake of using Rejuvenate Floor Restorer on my engineered hardwood floor. I spent 8 hours trying to clean it off: scrubbing, floor cleaner, ammonia, and my floor just looked worse and worse. I called Ryan thinking I'd just have to sand my floor. He came over and said he can save me some money by just applying a floor stripper to remove the Rejuvenate. It was done quickly, and he used a scrubby sponge to get the corners perfect. My floor looked better than ever, and he left my place clean, too. I was so impressed by Ryan's quality of work and integrity as a business person.

Ryan came and did the sandless refinishing process on this floor, and it turned out very well. When we pulled out the carpet, the fir was covered in old glue, paint, and screws. Ryan's process was fast and low odour, with no dust, and the results look really good. Ryan is a nice guy to work with, and is prompt and professional.

With three pets and a 7 year old, it didn't take long before our beautiful white wool wall to wall berber was trashed. The previous owners had spared no expense on the bedroom carpet, however they made an unfortunate colour choice with white. We were paying several hundred dollars a year just to keep the carpets looking clean, but they never really felt that way. We decided to try pulling up the carpets in one of the bedrooms to see what was underneath. There was fir under there , but my husband thought the floor was a right off. It was covered in paint, 70 year old underlay glued to the floor and what looked like permanent stains.
We didn't want the floors to look brand new (impossible) but rather refreshed and close in wear and tear to the rest of the fir in the house. Instead of throwing another carpet back down we decided to look into a lower cost, and less mess approach to floor refreshing. After seeing reviews of Mr. Sandless on Homestars we gave Ryan a call. He did an amazing job! He had the floors looking clean, and refreshed in just one day with no odour or mess, and my daughter was sleeping in her room the same night. We have since pulled the carpet in another bedroom and plan on calling Ryan and having him back to work his magic. I highly recommend this service.
Besides doing a great job, he was also very professional in his approach and demeanour which made having someone in your house for a day feel very low profile.
