After finishing a home renovation using 2 of Homestars top rated I thought I was on a roll. One final piece I needed to complete my new roof was to reattach an iron railing that was removed for the reno. After reading about 50 reviews for Art Metal I figured these were the people to call, even for my small job given that I have an Iron staircase to replace with my lower roof replacement at a later date.
Unfortunately I have had a bad experience with Art Metal. I contacted Art metal by phone at which time I was instructed to email photos. Art Metal got back next day with an estimate and offer to complete the work the following week as they were to be working in the area. I was instructed to let them know within 3 days as they would be quite busy the weeks following. Rather than try and gather more quotes on those days I agreed within a few hours to meet the price and to complete the work as offered given the stellar reputation of this family business.
The following week was passing by with no word back from Yevgeniy on when exactly they would arrive, I contacted them again midweek to confirm. Again I heard back quickly informing me they would instead be arriving the following week. We exchanged a few msgs and within hours agreed to the following Wed at 10:00 AM, great I thought, a firm time I can plan to be home. To be safe I took the morning off from work and had my partner take the afternoon off so we could cover the entire day. Art metal never showed up to my home, no communication, no cancellation or even a follow up to reschedule.
I have lost two weeks to complete a renovation project having agreed to a price and schedule with Art metal. This missed appointment has cost me a day of vacation and am now having to seek out another contractor.
I think I caught these guys at a busy time and got lost in the shuffle, I would have rather been turned away than to lose time with 2 missed appointments which is worthy of a poor review.
