Scott and his crew were wonderful to work with. Our backyard turned out better than we had hoped for. The project involved a deck, patio, vegetable garden and preparation of garden beds. We showed Scott drawings and pictures of what we were looking for, and he and his team turned them into reality. We particularly appreciated the communication with Scott, if there was a problem we were told quickly with suggestions on how to solve it. If there was an additional cost due to changes we made this was also communicated, no hidden surprises! We were also given valuable advice on choices of stone etc. Scott also had to work with our neighbours to facilitate some of the work and this worked out well. We would definitely use Merlin Construction again for any landscaping project.

Scott was incredible to work with: I am a designer by trade so my standards for quality work are pretty high, but Scott's skill, hard work and exceptional customer service not only met, but exceeded my expectations. He worked diligently to make sure that I was completely happy with the amazing deck that he built for us. My husband and kids already love our backyard and any friends that have seen the new back deck are extremely eager to get Merlins contact info. Scott's pricing was competitive and his timeline was almost exact, even with MANY rainy days leading up to and during construction.
Highly recommend Scott (and Allen) at Merlin!! Cannot say enough good things!

Scott and his crew are wonderful. These guys are young, professional, work efficiently as a team & very polite to deal with. The result is a beautiful, well constructed retaining wall across the front and side of my house, and a patio across the back of the house.

Scott and his team did an amazing job on our backyard. They put in a stone patio, re-graded and re-sodded. We are extremely happy with the results. Would recommend Merlin to anyone and everyone.

These guys are very professional, courteous and reliable. I can't recommend them highly enough. They came in on time, worked incredibly hard, were neat, and delivered exactly what we were hoping for.

We were in need of a few things including widening our driveway by installing a path, channeling our gutters into a French drain in the backyard, building two wonderful sheds and laying stone around one side of our house. Also building gates for the fence on each side of the house. They totally delivered. Scott, Alan and Bart are great guys you can count on to get the job done right and on time. Would not want to use anyone else - simple as that.

These guys are good. Scott Munro is professional, knowledgable, and diligent. His young crew is highly expert and polite (they even listen to good music, and don't blare it). Project commenced as planned, schedule was met, and no budget issues or overruns. Scott even filled in a hole in my basement concrete floor at no extra charge. Final results superb. I would willingly and without reservation recommend Merlin.

Though my backyard project was relatively small; I felt Merlin gave it their utmost attention from initial planning to finish. Merlin Construction Ltd. did our back walkway and patio 2 years ago and we were beyond satisfied. This year, we hired them to do our front porch. We didn't bother getting any other company to quote the job because we wanted everything done perfect with no hitches and Merlin Construction is completely capable of this.
Scott and his team are very professional and pay extra attention to detail. They use their creativity and skills and get the job done. Never have to worry about their workmanship or going over budget. The price is bang on and so is their work.
Also, communication is never a problem. Scott actually returns calls, responds to emails and texts asap, a trait that is hard to find. Love working with this company.

I now love my backyard thanks to these guys. I couldn't even open my windows before because of the lack of privacy in our townhouse complex. Now, my windows are wide open, my daughters have room to play and we can now entertain guests in our patio. Scott worked with my budget and came up with solutions to keep my costs low (e.g., reusing existing patio stones which would otherwise just be thrown away). The team also tried to accommodate my early April request to have the project completed as I just gave birth about a week ago and didn't want to deal with a construction project and a new baby. Aside from this, I also have a neighbour who isn't fully on board with building a fence. The crew was able to address their questions and concerns and I was impressed at how they managed what could potentially have been a tense situation. Finally, my overall impression from these guys is that they take pride in their work and this speaks volumes about the quality of service they delivered.
