Let me start off by saying that I have never left this bad of a review for any company nor did I ever expect to for an HS company with such a solid rating.
I called roofrepairs.ca for some repair work due to windstorm and the lady that answered the phone was very pleasant and sent a crew to my house within hours (amazing!). They came and provided a rough idea of the estimate and said they would provide a written one in a couple of days. In the mean time, they offered to make the area "safe" for $400 assuming that this is required but it took less than 30 min to do a little tidy up and resecure vinyl siding that has to come off anyways (why bother!). They indicated I would be credited for half of that off the final repair bill. Here's the good part: I waited until almost a week and no estimate or communication. So I called...and emailed...left a voice mail...and called...and called. No response what so ever nor did anyone ever pick up the phone. This company has so many good reviews!!! In any case another home stars company will do the job and they tarped the area (for free) so no rain damage until they can get to my job. (roofrepair.ca didn't bother with this). All the while I'm out $400 to roofrepairs.ca for doing a bit of needless work.
Update: Someone finally picked up the phone and they provided an estimate, which was double than what I was initially told and no credit at all for the initial payment that they said they would give! Note that the other HS roofing company's estimate was in line with what roofrepairs.ca initially indicated it would be. I'm always happy to resolve before posting a review but...can't get through on the phone again.
