Garage Doors & Hardware review in Calgary

I called Stampede Overhead Door for a maintenance on my garage door:

They did a great job and changed all the weather strips, bottom door seal, check on door springs and cables, check on door balance, check and lubricate all hardware and advised me how to maintain the door until next service.

I can't believe that one of our maintenance guys would treat you this way and I will be looking into it. I looked at the schedule and I found your job Gabriel. I will call you tomorrow to rectify this and make this right. We pride ourselves on our quality of work and customer service. Please accept my apologies and know that we will be back out tomorrow to fix this.

Bad job for a simple maintenance on my garage door

I called Stampede Overhead Door for a simple maintenance on my garage door: change weather strips, change bottom door seal, check on door springs, check rollers, etc…

I’m NOT happy with the quality of work on my garage door. See images
They butchered the corners of the bottom door seal with nuts and screws.

When I told them that I’m not happy with the result of their solution the Stampede Overhead Door tech told me that this is the best they can do and quote: “If you have a better idea, by all means, go ahead and do it”. They were saying that while they were processing the payment for their job. What arrogance.

They wanted to call on the job without the bottom door seal replacement. They were surprised to hear that they have to change that too.

What they didn’t do: door hardware inspection and recommend replacement when necessary, rollers inspection and recommend replacement when necessary, lubricate moving parts when necessary
They did check the door balance.

I didn’t ask them to bring me the Moon from the sky, but just to do a simple maintenance on my garage door. Not only that they didn’t complete that, but they left the site well knowing that I’m not happy.

For the weather strips replacement they’ll get 4/15 overall
For not completing the door maintenance they will get 3/5 overall
For screwing up the bottom door seal and leaving me unhappy they will get 1/5 overall

I will never call them again, EVER.
